Clicking as soon as plug in

You may encounter problems trying to change your display settings if you have a certain policy set to prevent you from doing so. If you try and run the display control panel applet either by right clicking on the desktop and selecting properties or clicking on Display from Control Panel you may receive the following message or something very similar.

Your System Administrator disabled the Display Control Panel

To fix this problem you can perform a simple registry fix.

1. Start the registry editor by clicking on Start, Run and then type in regedit and click Ok.
2. Browse to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\System
3. If you have an entry for NoDispCPL, double click it to open it
4. If not you can create it by going to the Edit menu and selecting New and then DWORD value
5. Enter a name of NoDispCPL and press enter
6. Once you have this entry you should double click it and set the value to 0

Replace the motherboard (part # WR55X10942) but be careful to check that the evaporator fan (inside the freezer) turns on when you power up the refrig again. A bad evaporator fan motor can take out the motherboard. If compressor starts with new board but not evap fan, unplug immeadiatelly and replace the evap fan motor to save new board.

Does it display any message like "Protect" or something similar? Do you hear a relay click on then off?

Did the amp just not power up one day or did it stop working while you were listening to it? Finally, do you have teenage kids who might have been listening to your receiver and would have "neglected" to tell you that after listening to their music it suddenly stopped working?

It could be an internal fuse but chances are its something that requires a technician to repair (like the output transistors).

I found this on another forum - testing it now expect something in several hours Praise th' lawd for this forum!!! I bought my ts360 from a neighbor on craigslist (he even gave me all the extra stuff I didn't need: standard rec., dish, mounts, rf remote and sensor, etc...anybody need any of these things?) so I could use strictly as an OTA receiver. After taking my time hooking up all the connections (suuucks), then plugging in the receiver only to hear the constant, loud clicking sound, I knew it was over. But being as stubborn as I am, I researched the prob Google-style and prayed that there was a solution. Sure enough, after reading and re-reading these posts (a godsend!), I had a plan. When I had time, I plugged the receiver into an outlet and let it tick away (in my office!) After about 2 hours, the clicking slowed, becoming unsteady. I thought it would kill over with no response. It stopped, then 'voila'!!! It came to life; went into standby mode. I pressed the standby button, then I saw the dreaded "boot fail" on the display. Noooo! When I had time later, I researched that problem. Found some entries (thanks, Google! (another godsend)) and answers to solve it. Got the receiver home, plugged it in (this time it only took 15 minutes to stop the clicking sound, got the "boot fail" message, then selected 'no dish' from the menu; receiver reset, then all is good!!! In a nutshell (for others with the same problem), I: made my connections (dvi cable, audio cables) Plugged the receiver into the outlet (didn't have to connect phone line or dish!!) Waited until the ticking stopped See the "boot fail" message on the display On the tv screen, tells you to press 'select' Press 'select', then, at 'dish type', select 'No Dish' Receiver tells you it will reset for the changes to take effect After it powers on, it's all good. You may have to do a OTA antenna scan on yours. The guy I bought mine from already had the local channels in memory. Pretty much the same scenario as Wingryder, and like Sprocto4 said, the initial problem (the clicking sound for eternity) is due to a "lack of power up." This forum saved my ts360 from the junkyard. That night I stayed up late to watch all the hd I could.
