Samsung DLP TV- colors seem to mess up -Faces have green streaks

I would first check the lamp is properly seated and was it a Samsung or a generic brand? Also not indicated is does sound remain or not.

IT SOUNDS LIKE THE COLR WHEEL HAS FALLEN APART AND WILL HAVE TO BE REPLACED. I RECOMMEND CALLING AN AUTHORIZED TECHNICIAN TO DO THE REPAIR. YOU CAN CALL 1-800-SAMSUNG TO FIND THE CLOSEST SERVICE CENTER

Did you replace the color wheel yourself ? Sometimes you have to remove a small black jumper on the DM module on the light engine and that will remove the greenish but sometimes adjustments also need to be made in the service menu.

Yes, the Color Wheel would be the only thing left. I am not sure about this exact model but the Color Wheel in other Samsung models are replaceable.

Sounds like the brightness and contrast adjustments are misalighed. Could be lamp check lamp hours. Sets average around 8k hours

You need a new lamp...

Assuming the noise is a high-pitched whine, then yes, it is the color wheel.  If the color wheel goes out, the TV will turn on for a while, then turn off when it can't establish color wheel sync.  The color wheel has to be in sync with the mirrors on the DLP, so if sync can't be established, the TV turns off.
You can order a new color wheel from Sears or partstore.com (among other places) and replace it yourself, if you are so inclined.

You better to check the color wheel or Lamp ballast.

Normally, the noise comes from color wheel.

My Samsung DLP is having the same problem.  Not sure what to do, but I will contact my warranty place for the second time.  Hopefully they'll fix it.  Any other suggestions?
