from what you are saying the screen driver has gone as long as there is sound it is just the screen driver board on the back of the screen if you peplace it the tv should be fine again, there are alot of replacement parts on the bay.
Well...if lights are good, fuses are good, and the peplaced switch is good...maybe there is a relay for the headlights in a distrobution panel under the hood.
I'd check that next.
The replacement bulb is over $200 (maybe even more than $300).
It is a "halide" bulb that gets very hot.
Do not glue it; the glue (even when dry) will catch on fire.
Better to deal with it or consider replacing mmedia projector ($600)
