Colors registration need to be adjusted. It's a long procedure to describe. But if you are close to PA or NJ PhillyCopiers.com can do it for you.

SOURCE: ap3800c will not print the colour it sees

So the quality is good, it's just not "exactly" like the screen? It never will be "exact". Depending on what you're describing, if the colour is off, it could need the drum(s) or Development unit(s) replaced to improve the quality; however, if your just talking about "matching" the screen colour, you could line up 100 different printers and you'd get 100 different outputs....it's not an exact science. Perhaps you're using a generic toner vs. the OEM brand, this would change your results too.
There are also 3 different printer "languages" (drivers) that the printer can print with: RPCS, PCL 5c, and Postscript 3. All of which will give slightly different print qualities. You may want to try installing a different driver than you're using, and you may prefer the output. Postscript 3 is the best in my opinion.
you can go to this link, select your OS, and download another driver:

I hope this helps.

Printer HP Deskjet D1460 prints pink"..Instead of Black

The printed colours are an "additive" mix of the "primary" colours in your printer.

So, when the colour ink-jet cartridge is "out-of-ink" on one (or more) of its colours, the "mix" will be off, and the "wrong" colour will be the result.

Change the colour cartridge.

Before changing it, run a "deep-cleaning" cycle, using the HP Support software that was installed when you installed from the CD-ROM that came with the printer, to "clean" any/all "clogged" ink-jets -- i.e., a clog could be preventing one colour of ink from being sprayed onto the paper.

After replacing cartridge in dell 810 the colours printing wrong

Hi

If you haven´t used your inkjet printer for a while it may just be dry ink clogging some of the nozzles in the print head.

To check if yours is clogged...

Remove the ink cartridges
Holding the cartridge upright and press down gently onto a paper towel.

The colour cartridge
you should see YELLOW, MAGENTA (red) and CYAN (blue)

But if any colours are missing? The inks have probably just clogged up? and you will need to buy a new one or if you know you still have ink then you can easily unclog it with a
Magic Inkjet Flush Kit (Which you can find on Ebay)

MIXED COLOURS
If you have others colours coming out then the colours have mixed...
Sometimes caused when people put tape onto the inks to keep them moist but instead the colours mix through capilary action.

If so... leave print head sitting on a paper towel for a few mins until the correct colours appear.

Read more about ink clogs here:
How to Clean, Fix, Repair, Unclog, Dry, Clogged Print Heads on CANON, EPSON, HP, Lexmark, Dell, Olivetti etc…

To prevent an ink clog it is best if you print something regularly about every 10 days to keep the tiny print head nozzles / jets open. Otherwise the ink in the print head will thicken. Then it´s like trying to pass a camel through the eye of a needle.

So to preven inkjet ink from clogging print something every 10 days if you dont have anything to print, use something like these test prints

Oki C3100 - v poor print quality

Hi Errol

The way to identifiy your problem is to send a full colour print to your printer and open the top just as the paper starts to come out . if you then remove your toner / drums for all the colours you can see the transfer belt if the quality of the image that you can see on the transfer belt is good and clear your problem is with the transfer form the tranferbelt to the paper and not any toner /drum issue and the most likley cause is the transfer belt itself "but before you relpace it remove it and clean around the electrical contact points and generally make sure the internals of the printer is free of loose toner .

Oki c5100n printing colors offset

posted by Halfwalkeer on Nov 13, 2007 Report abuse

Just replaced the color toner cartridges in the c5100N, two OKI (cyan and yellow) and one non-OKI (magenta). Now it appears that registration is completely off.

When printing an image, there is a band of yellow at the top about 6mm high, and a band of purple (not cyan) at the bottom about 6mm high. It seems that the yellow printing LED array is printing offset. I've verified this with a typical test page that shows yellow blipped up by several mm.

What the hell happened ? How can I fix it ?

Thanks -

Dean.
Comment by Halfwalkeer, posted on Jan 02, 2008 Drums are all at 34%. Please don't tell me that the drums only have a 50% lifetime on them, because that would just suck royally. When you say the problem is most likely drums, in what way ? What could have gone wrong ?

I was able to more or less fix the problem ... It took several iterations of ColorMenu->Adjust Registration followed by Maintenence Menu->Menu Reset, but it was finally able to pull the registration back into line.

I got worried at one point - after it was "fixed" the printer was powered off. Upon powerup again, registration was off by several centimeters ! Another round of the above finally "fixed" it again, but I haven't powered it down again.

It was a cheap printer. Maybe this is why ...

Comment by Soulvisitor, posted on Jan 02, 2008 I was thinking about the band of yellow being caused by cleaning blade wearing on drum, drums are garenteed by oki if over 50 %, under that one is on their own ie purchase new if having problems with them

If you can fix problem doing colour calibration then faulty drum is not likely the issue.

Cant stress how many problems are caused by non gen consumables in machines, highly dont recommend their use.
