I just installed my HP officejet J6400 on my wireless. Sometimes it allows my wireless connections to work with our laptops - sometimes not. Today, not. I just tried to uninstall some programs in an effort to allow all access - still no success. I've got a Linksys wireless router throughout the house. What could be the hitch?

Don have starter cd

Hi, I hope that I can help you today.

Here is a link to the HP website for your printer.

http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/DriverDownload.jsp?prodNameId=3635388&lang=en&cc=us&prodTypeId=18972&prodSeriesId=3635376&taskId=135

You didn't specify which operating system that you have, so this link will allow you to choose it yourself.

This provides not only the drivers, but the software for it as well.

I know how frustrating it can be to not have the disk with the drivers and software, and I am glad I could find the appropriate link for you here today.

Says my operating system wont allow insalation running windows 7

Windows Vista and 7 sometimes won't allow installation of devices with unsigned or unvalidated drivers. Can you bypass that message and install anyway?

HP officejet 5600 connected but not printing

try a complete reinstall of the printer:
1) unplug printer
2) un-install all drivers, and make sure printer is removed from printer list
3) download the latest drivers from HP:
http://www.hp.com/sbso/bussupport.html
(the included CD drivers could be outdated)
4) follow HP instruction on how to install the new drivers and printer (sometimes it wants software first, sometimes it wants to detect printer first).

Good luck!

HP Officejet J6400-will not print after restart

you may need to purge stuck jobs. you do that by stopping then restarting spooler.exe. see running services ie right click my computer and choose manage. once you do that it should print. if it doesnt then its an IP address issue, print a status sheet, usually OFF then hold in button, keep holding and turn on printer it will print status sheet. check IP address is correct as per printer properties.
