Jammed power button

only 2 possibles
1: no power , 12vdc to motor
2: motor bad. (got 12vdc there active)
3: or its jammed.

to tell if its jammed is easy , disconnect the motor drive
then turn the drive end by hand , cant move it? that means the panel
tracks are jammed and the motor can't move it.
so unjam it, by close examinations. of the guides etc.

the FSM has the full instructions on this, why not read the FSM
then ask questions that are not clear there. or?

This error means jammed paper or a foreign object is blocking print head movement. Turn off the printer, press the adjust lever down to the lowest position, and pull out the jammed paper. Open the cover and remove any jammed or torn paper, or foreign objects. Then do one of the following:

Sheet Feeder: Return the adjust lever to the position. Turn on the printer, reload paper, and press the paper button.

Manual Feed Slot: See page 15 of your manual for loading instructions.

Roll Paper: Cut off the printed portion with scissors, then remove and reload the roll paper

try putting it back on the charger & see if it turns on a friend of mine had a jammed lock button & when her phone died thats the only way she could turn it on. if it doesnt than theres most likely a battery problem. Also go in a very dark room & see if it works the backlight could be out on it

If you are experiencing paper jam problem with your printer, please follow these steps: 1. Remove any loose sheets of paper from the input tray and the output tray. 2. Press the Power button ( ) to turn off the product. 3. Disconnect the power cord from the rear of the product. 4. Unplug the power cord from the wall outlet. 5. Turn the product around so that you can access the rear side. 6. Push in the button on either side of the two-sided printing accessory (duplexer), and then remove the duplexer. 7. Gently remove any jammed paper or bits of torn paper from the rollers inside the product. Use both hands to pull any whole sheets of paper to avoid tearing them. 8. If you do not see jammed paper in the rear access area, push the buttons on the latch on the rear of the duplexer, and then lower the cover. 9. Remove any jammed paper from inside the duplexer. 10. Close the duplexer cover. 11. Gently push the duplexer into the product until it snaps firmly into place. Do not press the buttons on the end of the accessory while you reattach it. 12. Reconnect the power cord to the rear of the product. 13. Plug the power cord back into the wall outlet. 14. Press the Power button ( ) to turn on the product.

Techbelkin

With a flashlight see if there's a spoon or fork jammed in there. Get a boomstick (or crowbar) and try to turn the spindle counter clockwise.
When its is loose, get the jammed stuff out, turn the disposer on. If there's no power, re-set the fuse-button on the bottom of disposer.

You can keep the printer plugged in, and hold down the power button and cancel button until it releases.

Sounds like this is a common problem with these printers. Hopefully, this is a malfunction of the printer that you can remedy.

I'm assuming that you have THOROUGHLY searched the printer for any evidence of paper and/or debris. Have you tried resetting the printer? If this issue is as simple as just needing to clear the error from the printer then a reset should work. (If you still have the manual, it should provide instructions on resetting the printer.) This is the best that I can provide on how to reset it:

1. Turn the printer off.
2. Hold the Resume button (red circle in the triangle), add a printer (click Power) an indicator light green.
3. Hold the Power button and release the Resume button.
4. NOT releasing the Power button, double click Resume and release BOTH BUTTONS (Power and Resume).
5. Click Resume four times.
6. Click Power to confirm the selected action (reset counter absorber). Click Power again to disable the printer.
