Question about RIM BlackBerry? Pearl 8120 Cellular Phone
I have a TMobile Blackberry Curve 8320. I'm on a business trip to South Florida. The phone wasn't dropped, bumped, submerged in water...nothing. In the middle of a text message, it locked up. The keyboard and trackball have stopped working correctly. I can't even enter my required password to unlock it. I worked with T-Mobile and Blackberry 2.5 hours on software and OS issues to no avail. This is clearly a hardware issue. Now the keyboard appears to be "typing by itself." It keeps submitting characters I'm not pushing until the password field says "field full." I Dropped My Phone Into the Toilet and Automatically Took It Out I dried THe Phone, and Battery OFf but Now The 2,5,7,and 0 key wont work i have it in rice is there anything else i should do
there is an area under the track ball that goes bad if it get's wet. Cleaning that area with a brush can sometime get it up and running again. If you're out of warranty try to remove the trackball and clean the area below it if necessary. There is a Blackberry Repair Guide that shows how to open a Blackberry and remove the track ball yourself.

All i can say is buy a new phone. if you have insurance on it, it might not be valid since you got it wet. while you were in florida, you could possibly have unknowingly gotten something in it.
