Printer cartrage(s) missing or not detected

I have a photosmart c4280 all in one that is not detecting one of the printer cartrages. the printer cartrages have been brought in and are functioning fine. Is this something that can be fixed?

Have you tried cleaning the gold cartridge contacts? Wth a little distilled water, cotton bud and then let dry before reinstalling

The ink cartrages were left out for a year,does this hutr the printer ? Or can I just install new cartrages and print without problems ?
You just replace new ink cartridges and it will be back to normal.

I put a refurbished cyane ink cartrage in and I get error. It says it cannot read the ink cartrage take out and put back in. I do that and it still will no work.

your printer cant "read" cartridge E-label
you have to replace it or replace cyane cartridge whit new one

Wont detect
1. Make sure that you removed the tape covering the metal contacts on the print cartridges.

2. Clean those contacts with a cotton swab and distilled, filtered or bottled water. Tap water may damage. Do not touch with curious fingers. Allow to dry.

3. Reinsert, Reset printer.
