Ink isn't low but printing wrong colours, too much pink

New epson sx200- not replaced yellow yet but it says i don't need to yet, however colours made up of yellow come out pink although on nozzle check lines will print yellow

Are you sure that the yellow you see on the screen REALLY is yellow? what i mean is that some programs f.ex. adobe photoshop can use its own set of colormanagementschemes.

so basicly the color you see on the screen might be corrected to look yellow, but in fact it is purple.

what you should try is to open paint (start -> run -> type "paint" -> ok) and use the bucket to fill the page with yellow. then print and see what happens.

    good luck.

Is the colour you print is pure yellow (100% or mixed like deep yellow, mixed with little magenta). Is the yeloow nozzle is perfect.
Nozzle check in not always guarantee te print out is good. Cause, when the flow of ink is not good, after the ink spray form the head, the space inside head not fill by ink.

BLACK INK NOT WORKING

Black ink head clogged/cartridge empty. Go to Printer Utility and do a Nozzle Check, Print a Pattern. If Black pattern lines are missing/broken then do another cleaning. Don't forget to try a new cartridge if the cleanings do not work. Refurbished Epson printers are great and can be purchased at www.epson.com/clearance. I have used them for 15 years.

When I Print the color Yellow, it's being printed as Pink.

I think you switched the ink stations. Try to switch the yellow and magenta. It also is a possibility that they are refilled with the wrong ink color. Place new ink cartridges and your problem is solved! (It can be that a few prints still show some pink color, because there is a residu of magenta in the yellow printhead)

I have a new black ink cartridge but my printer wont print because the color ink is empty is there a way to get it to print without refilling the colored ink since i only need black???

When printing in BLACK, a small amount of the COLOUR ink also is used.
This "trick" prevents the COLOUR ink-jets from clogging, due to not being used.

So, you need to have a "good" COLOUR ink-cartridge.

My colour is coming out pink- when I see yellow and green on my screen it prints pink and blue

You need to replace ink, try to buy complete set of ink and replace it, if same problem in printing, try run self test print if default test page print in complete color, or else there’s problem with your print head.

Epson sx200 printer, wont print black ink only

Many printers especially Photo ones also use colour even when printing Black. so you do need to replace the spent colour cartridge.

If you only need to print in black get a B&W printer not a colour one.

The pink colour is missing every time i clean the

Probably one of the red cartridges is empty or near empty or possibly the yellow - it will miss whatever color is low or empty or substitute the next closest shade using the remaining colors if one is out.

Epson sx200 One of the colour inks is empty and no print in black

Hi, this is not a solution because I don't think there is one apart from buying new inks. Epson and all other inkjet printers do this to prevent the coloured print head nozzles from getting blocked. If they are not used for a long time the ink dries up and blocks the nozzles. Epson recommends printing at least once a month with all colours to prevent this. Printing in black only option will only work if the colored inks are OK. Whenever the printer is turned on it performs a head clean, this is why the coloured inks get used over time even though they are not used for printing.
