Passcode reset for H505

The device has been added to my bluetooth menu and while it is on the phone is saying that the device is out of range or powered off when it is on. I know i paired it successfully but am not able to use it. Thanks for you help. I am trying to pair my moto h505 headset with my blackjack from att. I was using the headset on a pearl from verizon. the blackjack is asking for the passcode. I have tried all defaults for example 1111, 1234, 9999, 0000, etc. I have also used the last digits of my phone number and it still wont take it. I was wanting to know if there is a way I can reset the passcode on my bluetooth to make it work? Thanks!

SOURCE: How to connect SAMSUNG bluetooth headset SBH 650 to my Nokia e71

When the pairing process between the E71 and SBH650 starts, try immediately to hold down, or press every half a second, the central 'call' button on the SBH650 - to force the SBH650 to think it is pairing with a new device. It took me 5-10 min of playing about in a similar situation, but eventually the SBH650 cleared it's 'memory' and the '0000' pairing code worked with another telephone...
however, I have never managed to pair the SBH650 with OS 3.0 upgraded ipod touch 2nd gen.

  • Step 1 Look on the back of your headset or speakerphone for the Bluetooth passcode for the device. Typically the pairing code for headsets is printed on a sticker that is then placed on the underside of the accessory.
  • Step 2 Go into the Bluetooth menu on your cell phone to find the passcode for your cellphone. The Bluetooth menu for your phone is typically located under the "Settings" menu. In the Settings menu there should be an option to "Get code" or something comparable, which would allow you to find the code for your phone.
  • Step 3 Go into the Settings menu for your computer to find its Bluetooth passcode. Some laptops will randomly generate a new Bluetooth passcode for you each time you want to pair them with a new device. In that case the menu setting you're looking for is something like "Generate new pairing code."
  • Step 4 Look in the instruction book for your Bluetooth accessory if you cannot find the passcode attached to the device or in its menu. Many manufacturers will print the passcode for devices in their instruction book. If you still can't find the passcode, try using all zeros.
