Laptop keyboard letters letters Z X S W 2 are hard to push and get they letter to show up. They worked just fine the other day and now they will not work and my computerp is still under warranty because I just bought it back in OCT. 2013 so its only a few months old what can I do? I need my computer for my online college classes.
Get it exchanged but try to download any important stuff on transfer media beforehand..
If the keys are hard to push you could have something under them, try vacuuming the keyboard. If they move freely, but you need to "mash" them you likely have a bad keyboard with the keys you mention as keyboards use a row and column method to detect key presses, and the keys you mention are often on the same column.

Go into "Control Panel", and "Regional and Language" and click the "Language" tab, and switch to the "USA Keyboard".

With my IBM Thinkpad, I had to hold Shift+ScrLk to turn off Number Lock.

try turning off filter keys. if you don't know how to do this, go under control panel, click on the search bar if you have vista, just type in "repeat" and click on the filter-keys link. then uncheck the "turn on filterkeys" box and click apply at the bottom. best of luck.
