Problems with R4 card for Nintendo DS lite

Your problem is not related to your DSlite, but with your R4. Somehow you managed to delete the R4 firmware from the microSD card.

Make sure you bought the correct R4 for the DS light and not the DSi. If you bought the correct one, then it sounds like the R4 cartridge is defective and needs to be exchanged for another one. Remember, Nintendo does not support the R4 cartridge, so go back to where you purchased it from.

In order to get movies for your Nintendo DS, you must first purchase a kit which includes: USB cord with a microSD card slot, a 512 MB memory card, and an adaptor that fits into the DS cartridge slot. This hardware package is available from DSvision for only about $37, and it will be available in 2008.

Try Formatting the MicroSD card.

i noticed that if you change time of ds..i.e.....put it back a year and that should sort your problem

I think you need to update the R4 software,dont know what is your R4 update website?

Is your DS a DS Lite? If it is, open up your R4. Fold up a piece of paper and put it right behind the gold contacts (on the side facing away from the DS). Close it all up and it should work.

the normal ds does work with the original ds, i have 3. lol. the r4 cart goes in the top of the ds in slot 1, it obviously about the same size as the r4 cart, have ur ds so it facinf downwards to the ground, and insert the game facing upwards so you can see the r4 wording on it, slot all way in until it clicks in, then power up.

Yes you have to prepare your R4 before load it in your DS...
there are a lot´s of aplication and homebrew for DS that you can download in the web...
emulator, for genesis, nes, SNES, sega master system, and even NEO GEO MVS.
try to download a DS Pack torrent with everything!
and install in the R4...Good Luck!

Unfortunately, this is a common problem to do with the actual contacts on the back of your R4 card. A small minority of Nintendo DS Lite units have the contacts points set SLIGHTLY further back, meaning the contact is bad.

Try experimenting by putting a folded piece of paper in-between the R4 card and the red Nintendo DS Lite when you play it, and notice that it should play now. You can permanently wedge a small piece of paper inside the R4 card itself by carefully taking off the cover, putting the paper in, and putting the cover back. This ought to solve your problem.
