Today, my phone froze up a lot and i kept losing service, so i kept restarting my iphone over and over. Then finally, i lost service completely and tried to restart my phone to bring service back and that did not work. So i went on itunes, and restored my phone, and when i got to the activation portion... It keeps saying itunes does not detect a sim card! i'm frustrated... please help i got my iphone off my friend second hand and with his sim card it work fine, and when i 1st put mine in it worked also but then my iphone froze i had it fixed and now it wont read my sim card. anyone know how to fix this?? please help
SOURCE: Won't detect Sim Card
Calm down. Could be a number of things causing lost service. Restart the PC with iphone disconnected. Bring up itunes, plug in iphone and let the activation sit for a couple of minutes. If status does not change about sim card, eject the sim card using a paper clip, insert that paper clip into the tiny hole on the top of the phone. disconnect the phone, insert the card again, and reconnect. Let me know if this helps.
