Need to know what convergence chips are in Panasonic PT51HX41E

Clean the projection lenses with qtips and alcohol. Then try to use the convergence function. My blu was messed up on one side of the screen until I cleaned mine.

two STK392-110 Convergence ICs and also check the six 2.2 ohm 2watt resistors.

have u tried the coarse adjustments in the service mode?

If you have gone into the customer menu and blue is skewed and will not adjust you have a convergence problem.

I will attach a photo--it will not look exactly like what you have but should confirm if it is your problem.

Most shops get 300 or more for this repair but actual total parts cost should be under 30 dollars if you buy the parts at the right place (I know a seller on Ebay).

If you or someone you know can do it for you--you can save the set and a lot of money.

I can post the instructions here and if you think you can do it I can tell you the seller on Ebay to get the parts from--repair involves two things--being able to get at the chips this set uses and being able to unsolder and replace them.

This is a fairly easy fix and I have detailed instructions on how to do it. You need to replace the two STK-392-110 convergence IC chips and any of the 2.2 ohm resistors around them that are discolored. The parts cost less than 20 dollars and you can get a pair of the chips on EBAY for less then 13 dollars plus shipping---Cost depends on if you are able to do it yourself or need to get someone to do it for you----Most shops here charge 300-400 for this kind of repair but I do it in home for many people here for 200-250 depending on model; 200 is much less than you can replace the set for and with new chips it should go 5 to 8 years until it needs them replaced again.

This is the slow time of the year for TV shops so you should be able to find someone in your area to do this IN YOUR HOME at a reasonable price.

It sounds like a convergence problem; most of these sets use two convergence IC chips that both need to be replaced; usually this can be done right in your home.

replace the stk-392-110 (x2) and any burnt resistors. cost 20$

Hello, please check the IC7102 (24LC64). This is eeprom that contains the convergence data. Please ask the Panasonic dealer if they can supply a replacement IC with the data for your HD. If you need more info please advice. Arpi

you need remote control that came with tv ,there is a service code menu for techicians only - setting convergence on these sets are not easy.you Must Know what you are doing other wise you can shut set down with bigger problems.Call a repair shop if your not sure.I have service codes but ,i will not tell someone these codes unless they do know How to set convergence.
