The recovery disc sent to me are identified as VPCEB10FD My laptop sceen is identified as VPCEB12FD The Sony technicians concluded that I was sent the incorrect / or faulty disc which is missing an importent file to install the OS MTC individual states that the disc are not faulty and that my system is a 64 bit system and that the diffeerence in the model numbers are OK Once all the discs "4" have been loaded, a notice on the screen states that the OS cannot be loaded on to the computer. HElp please

There should be a factory image on the HD when you try restarting it. Hold down the F8 key or F10 key while its rebooting this should start the recovery process you shouldnt need a windows disk.

You probably need a recovery disk because you dont have the necessary drivers and the software that came pre-installed on your laptop. but instead of worrying about that, why not just get any operating system disk of your choice, install it, download the drivers for your laptop online and install them too, and interestingly you can also keep all the drivers you downloaded with the OS Disk incase of future necessity for your laptop repairs.

Hi,
Providing the laptop was built after 2005 then there should be a recovery partition on the laptop.
Turn the laptop on and repeatedly press the F10 key, this should get you into the recovery partition and allow you to factory restore the laptop.
