E-7201 error with new dics

If your using burned CDs try burning them at lower speeds lower then 24x like 4x,8x,16x also try different brand disc. It's a common problem with poor quality discs and burn speeds higher then 24x

Most likely a failed laser - time for a new one :) Service centre job though! We repair this fault at work, a simple swap out would do it :)

Try blowing it out (outside) near the laser with a compressor to dislodge dust.

E-9103 is MECHANICAL TIME OUT,
Solution : some object in compartment slot, remove it, or clean player compartment

E-7201 is disc cant be read in 20 seconds,
Solution : Disc has scratch, Replace disc
Disc is dirty, Clean disc

There is a switch on the cd-loader unit. Switch it to "Digital Off". Problem solved :)

You might have damage to the reader, and I can only suggest replacing the CD Traverse/Transport assembly.

Lens cleaners aren't enough. You might have to take it to a service center to have it opened up and professionally cleaned.

If there is no damage to the cd traverse assembly, then the issue might be with either the quality of your burned CDs, or method used to burn.

I always tell people to burn at slow speeds - 4x is ideal. Yes, I know it's slow, but it will burn your cds at a better quality.
