HP P2015dn wirless connection stopped working

HP P2015dn wireless connection stopped working. Network lights on network connector in back of printer: one steady and yellow, the other green and blinking. Printer works fine with USB cable. Used with Apple computers, all running OS X. Is this a hardware problem?

Hi,
There is not wireless netwrok card is HP LJ P2015dn, However as i can understand you r using External Wireless Router or Wireless network or jet-direct card if u r able to work fine on USB than printer printing mechanism is working fine.
If u connect the printer via wired network connection and it keeps on loosing IP address than it may be problem with onboard network card of the printer.
If printer keeps on loosing IP Address than try upgrading the firmware of the printer.
To check the firmware and IP Address of the printer print a configuration page by pressing and holding down green button for 6 to 7 seconds

HP LaserJet pro color MFP M276N Network lan port no working

Troubleshoot the wired network connection
Make sure you are using an undamaged Ethernet cable, check for a green light near the Ethernet port on the printer, and then print a report to verify the connection.
Turn off the printer, and then disconnect the Ethernet cable from the router and the printer.
Check the cable for damage, and then verify that it is an Ethernet cable and not a phone cable.
NOTE: Ethernet and phone cables look similar, but Ethernet cables are usually bigger and have eight visible wires on the connector.
Reconnect the cable to a different Ethernet or LAN port on the router, and then connect the other end to the printer's Ethernet port.
Turn on the printer.
Check the lights on the printer's Ethernet port to make sure the connection is successful. The green light should be steady, and the orange activity light should blink.
Print a Wireless Network Test Results or Network Configuration report.
Inkjet printers with a control panel menu: Open the Wireless, Network Settings, or Setup menu to locate the list of available reports.
Most inkjet printers without a control panel menu: Press the Wireless and Information buttons at the same time, or press the Wireless and Start Copy Black buttons at the same time.
LaserJet printers: Press and hold the Wireless button for 10 seconds or until the Ready light blinks, or go to the Wireless menu and select Wireless Network Test.
Laser NS and Neverstop Laser printers: Press and hold the Resume and Wireless buttons for 3 seconds.
DeskJet 6000 and 6400, ENVY 6000 and 6400, and Tango printers: Touch and hold the Information button until all control panel buttons light up, and then touch the Information and Resume buttons at the same time.
Make sure the Network Status is Ready, or follow any instructions to resolve network issues identified on the report.

I want to connect my HP P2015 Laser Jet printer to my Dell Studio XPS deskto computer for wireless printing. What to I need? Thank you.

Your printer has an cable/wired ethernet connection. To use it wirelessly, you need to purchase a wirless print server from HP.

HP Jetdirect Fast Ethernet

embedded print server

(RJ-45 port) for flexible

networking (standard on

the P2015dn and

P2015x models only)

I use a HP LaserJet Printer P2015dn. I intalled it by changing it's default IP address (169.254.83.96) to 192.168.0.7. Yesterday I have shared my ADSL internet connection through this network. And...

Hi,
Try to change your Printer's IP address to 192.168.1.XX. XX means any number that hasn't been used in your network. I suggest you to use IP address 192.168.1.10 (easy to remember)

Trying to install HP 2101nw wirelss print server but get message can't find the print server on the wirless network form this machine. I am trying to set this up stand alone , not via a router

The server maybe enabled but you need to navigate on the printer and select a wireless network you want to connect to (just like you would when you connect a computer to a wireless netowrk). Once the printer is connected to the wireless network. try it again

Sometimes this problem occures when you install a later model wireless router.
Try installing the latest Wireless card driver on the XP computer and the LAN card drivers on the other computers except the MAC.

TEST PAGE REFUSE TO PRINT ON MY HP LASERJET P2015DN PRINTER

It's a network printer. Are you connected via the network or USB? If you run the CD wizard and select the wrong option it will not print.

In either case, insert the CD, and select the proper method of connection (USB or network), it should see the printer, if it does not you have a problem, so check your cable connection (either rectangle thingy - USB, or Network - big phone jack). From there, make sure (especially in network mode) that the printer is configured properly.

Connecting a brother hl2170 wirless printer to a linksys wrt54g

Take note all the wireless settings of the router first. Now go to the printer and Press Menu/Settings, look for wireless setup wizard. It should find the network, highlight it and connect. If it asks you for the network key, type your wireless network key. It only allows WPA-Personal(TKIP) and WEP. If you have WPA2 or AES, it will not connect

DV4000 cant connect to wireless network

HP bought several motherboards from the same company in China. These boards work for about 15 months then they can't find the wireless card. This is caused by a defect in the North Bridge chip overheating over time. This chip is not replaceable at the local level. You can send it back to HP for a replacement and sometimes they will charge you $300 - $500, or you can just replace the motherboard yourself. Check with them first since there is an ungoing lawsuit regarding these boards. Either way the only fix is to replace the motherboard. This is also a problem for the dv6000 and the dv9000 models. HP knows that 30% of these will fail.

Mike
