SOURCE: heater will not run

You don't say, but I am assuming that the motor is running and there is combustion in the combustion chamber and the heater is running fine, then the reset trips. Is this correct? If so, chances are the Safety Control (reset) is defective. Part number HA3003. The photocell could also be at fault. Check for a dirty lense on the photocell.

But---If there is no combustion in the chamber, then the photocell detects a no-flame condition and then it trips the reset.

SOURCE: universal 100,000 btu runs for 30 seconds and trips reset

Could be a bad flame sensor.

SOURCE: I have a 100,000 btu reddy heater, and every time

If it actually ignites and burns but shuts off either the flame sensor is bad (or dirty) or the control is bad. I would verify the flame sensor is clean and had good electrical connections to the controller for starters.

I have a 30,000 btu ventless mr heater for two months it has run with absolutely no smell, the other day I did some wood staining, now the heater has a strong co2 smell is their any way to clean the heater...

Sure is. Never operate a vent-free gas appliance (not even the pilot light) while painting, staining, cleaning carpets, etc. It picks up the odors and will not burn the odor off, because the odor doesn't get in the heater, it just makes the odor worse. You will need to turn the heater off and not use it, until ALL of the odor from the staining have completely dissipated . It may take a week or more, even though you may not be able to smell the odor from the stain, the warm moist air from the heater will activate it again. If you get a warm day soon, open a window or two and let the fresh air in. That will help dissipate the odor. But, allow a week minimum, before trying to use the heater again.

Oh, by he way, that wasn't co2 you were smelling. co2 is dry ice. It has no odor. Just like co (Carbon Monoxide) it has no odor. You were smelling the fumes from the stain. Just 50 times worse.

Good luck to ya,

Rich

I have a reddy heater 100 pro it stinks when it is going and burns my eyes

If you are using it inside, in an area that is not well ventilated, that is the problem. In addition, if this heater is in a work area and there are paint or stain fumes or anything similar, the heater is picking up those fumes and making them 100 times worse.

Also, is the heater has not been cleaned and service regularly, this also could cause the odor, due to incomplete combustion. Also, how old is the gas in the tank you're using. Old LP Gas can also cause the odors.

Those things listed above, are all things that can cause the problem you described. Resolving those should take care of the odor problem.

Burning eyes, can't breathe.

These produce large amounts of carbon monoxide, so you essentially are poisoning yourself. Leave the garage door open part way when using it.
