Question about Casio W752V3AV men's watch

Casio Altimeter watch, no instructions

I have an older Alti-Thermo Casio watch I cannot figure out re: resetting and how to operate (no instructions).  This is a problem already logged onto this FixYa website but I cannot see how I can read any of the 5 solutions (they are listed in order of value, but no links exist nor any text showing solutions).  So I have to start all over again.  Any help? (by the way, the Casio website has no archived manual for this watch).

I have a Casio Alti-Thermo watch. It's around 15 or 20 years old. The battery died. I bought a battery, installed it and now the watch will not run at all. No instruction manual. No clue.

I was just gifted an old casio pathfinder model 1675 with the manual.

when inserting a new battery.....step #4

AC (AC CLEAR) touch the AC contact and the battery +(positive) side with metal tweezers for about two seconds.
Contacting the AC (all clear)is necessary when a new battery is installed to clear the previous memory to avoid erratic display..
I am going to get a new battery for it soon I want to play with it....and figure out how navigate through the functions.

oh yah......the pictures are extremly small but the AC contact point is apparently marked? inside the case obviously next to the battery close enough for the needle nose tweezers to reach each contact. I havent unscrewed my case yet, I want to have everything I need at hand like the battery before I dive into this thing. I dont mean to dumb it down, I was trying to keep it simple as the manual is 55 pages and a little confusing. I hope this helps the battery problem. I will try to delve into the reset problem from the other post..each function appears to have a reset option ......maybe crack the case open and try the new battery all clear thing with tweezers...maybe this would reboot so to speak the entire watch , being mine does not work and have only had it in hand for two hours I am pretty clueless, I was looking for how much the watch costs...i didnt relize it was a fairly old model, the new ones with the compass look very cool. anyhow goodluck

I am wondering if you have a full memory bank and need to dump it?

buttons a-b top left to right
buttons c-d bottom left to right on the case
press c to enter recall mode
press d for forward scrolling of data
press b for backwards scolling of data....

bear with me if this is helpful but good lord, everylittle thing in this manual, you have to flip three pages back then ten forward and then to the beginning, turn this off the clear this whcih automatically engages this function which must be reset before enabeling the option to start so you can turn the bloody thing off.

    ok ok
    in altimeter mode
DESELECT auto memory so its not flashing by holding down A for 5 seconds, either "off" or the current reference altitude (if set) will start to flash. the data flashes because it is selected...
press C to change the selection.......oh yah you cannot turn this to auto or manual if a preset auto memory measurement is already in progress.

    with auto off
in recall mode display the start data of the set of auto memory data that you want to delete
to clear data hold down A until the watch emits a beeb(and untill "CLR" stops flashing on the display)

To Delete Manual Memory, Maximum and minimum data

in the recall mode button C? again display the data you want to delete
to clear data....same as above....with button a and beeps and what have you.
the above is pretty much verbatum from the model 1675 manual right now the thing seems more trouble than its worth and I havent even a battery in it yet....I am sure I will figure it out. good luck

I have a casio g-shock not work the Altitude Measurement

The riseman can be reset but also needs to be calibrated. Your instruction manual will walk you through calibrating your altimeter.
If you have misplaced your manual you can download a manual from Casio's website.

Alti does not read correct alti.

Don't forget that the altimeter is barometric, and therefore the altitude reading will change depending on the air pressure - i.e. the weatherman may give the 'high pressure coming through' or that there is a low pressure giving rain - to get the true altitude, you need to know the true air pressure at any given point on the earth ~(where you are) then set this as the 'normal'. you will then get the correct altitude. Don't forget that if you are in a pressurised aircraft - as in allcommercial flights, the cabin air pressure is artificially kept at appx 4000-6000ft altitude
