Blinking red means just focusing. Blinking arrow means that flash is not ready. Try to factory reset it but if that doesn't help bring camers to repair.

Hi - I have just managed to fix this issue of grey stripes across my screen on playback on my canon mv800 by going into the audio format settings in the menu and changing the format from 12 bit to 16 bit - good luck everyone else! Sharon
Its same for everyone. You can only see the battery when its about to run out. IN that case a red flashing icon appears on the upper right corner of the screen otherwise there is no indicator for ixus 75.
it means you have no back up battery installed to save time/date info. I know on the GL2 if you open the LCD screen there is another small plastic tab you can open and insert a relatively small battery. Do it and the icon will disappear. Otherwise its no big deal. If you dont need time/date stamps on your tapes then there is no need to install the battery unless you are just annoyed.
