Question about NetGear WG111 802.11g/b Wireless Adapter

Netgear WG111v3 blocks access to epson RX500 USB printer

Just had the netgear adapter fitted to do with Tiscali TV. I now find that I can no longer access my printer whilst the adapter is fitted.
I have a HP desktop with 4 USB ports at the back, 3 are used, netgear adapter, mouse, printer.
Mouse works fine but computer cannot see printer and reports unknown device when I connect the printer.
Have tried various booting and rebooting routines but all to no avail.
If I unplug the adapter the computer sees the printer without problem.
I can connect the printer to the front USB connector and it works OK but prefer not to have leads sticking out of the front of the computer with a young son about.
Any ideas please

First uninstall the netgear adapter from the memory of the computer completely...
Because in case of this netgear adapter WG111 ... when u install it , it makes changes in the system files ...
That;s why when u connect the printer it doesnot recognise that ...
that's why uninstall the netgear adapter software in the Add remove programs and then restart your computer..

Try this and then revert back to me...

HP 6400 wireless printer will not work with netgear wndr3400v3 router

If the printer is connected via wireless it may not be set up correctly, as a network printer.
Connect it up via a USB cable to make sure it works, then change it to Wireless configuration and re-install it as a network not a USB printer.
see manual

Hi I'm looking to install a DG834G router to give wireless access but the only instal disc is from AOL and I'm not with them anymore, I have tiscali broadband. How do install the router if it won't plug...

Try NOT using any install disk.

Turn the TISCALI router off.
Turn the NetGear off.

Use an Ethernet cable to connect from the LAN port on the TISCALI router to the WAN port on the router.

Use another Ethenet cable to connect from one LAN port on the router to the network-port on your computer.

Turn the TISCALI on. Wait 60 seconds.
Turn the NetGear on. Wait 60 seconds.
Restart your computer.
Click Start
Click Run
Type CMD
Press Enter
Type IPCONFIG
Press Enter
Look for output like: Default Gateway....192.168.123.456
Note that the '123.456' will be some other numbers.
Start Internet Explorer.
Type http://192.168.123.456 (substitute the current values)
Login to the web-server running on the router.
Run the "Wireless Networking Setup Wizard"
to configure a SSID, an encryption-level (use 'WPA')
and a password for your network.
After the router restarts, you should be able to get wireless access, using the SSID and password that you configured your router to use.

Netgear was working now all it does is scann

Your Netgear adapter is scanning because it cannot find a wireless access point.

Make sure that the adapter is visable and not hidden behind your desk. The less objects between your wireless adapter and your wireless access point the better.

Locate your wireless access point. Make sure it is on and unobstructed.

If you don't have an access point then you are using someone else's access point. You need to go find them and find out why you cannnot connect to their access point.

Good luck!

If this helps please vote for my solution.

Any 19V 4.7A adapter with a plug that fits the jack will work regardless of what it looks like. Radio Shack sells adapter plugs that will fit any jack if you cannot find the exact HP replacement.
