Water only drips not enough water making litle ice

Start with replacing your water filter, Frigidaire water filters tend to reach their life's end much sooner than others, regardless if you have a filter reminder light, your filter can get dirtier faster depending on your water quality, the reminder light on the front dispenser is simply a timer and has no idea how dirty your water is. By pass plugs are also avail to take the place of water filters. Pleazer Appliance...

What's a power filter?

Power filter are much easier to maintain and as effective as the others. A siphon tube pulls water from the tank into the filter box and passes the water though a mechanical filter. Then the sponge doubles as a biological filter. An internal pump then returns the filtered water into the aquarium. The advantage is that the foam sponge can be easily inspected for clogging or removed for cleaning therefore reducing bacterial loss.

Water only dispenses if I turn the filter/by pass knob on a daily basis - it works great then the next day I have to turn the filter all the way from the uninstall position to fully installed

Sounds like the temperature in the refrigerator is too cold and is possibly freezing the water inside the filter.

Below are instructions to reset water filter light. Thanks, Sea Breeze
If helpful please rate.

Reset Filter (select models)

When a water filter has been installed in the

refrigerator, the yellow Order light will illuminate when

90 percent of the volume of water for which the filter is

rated has passed through the filter OR 11 months have

elapsed since the filter has been installed.

The red Replace light will illuminate when the rated

volume of water has passed through the filter OR 12

months have elapsed since the filter was installed. A

new filter should be installed immediately when the

Replace light is illuminated.

After replacing the filter, press and hold the Reset

Filter pad for three seconds. The Order and Replace

lights will go off.

Vacation Mode

The Vacation Mode feature causes the freezer

to defrost less frequently, conserving energy. The

Vacation Mode indicator light will illuminate when the

feature is activated. To deactivate, press the Vacation

Mode pad again OR open either door. The indicator

light will go off.

The water doesn't seem to be passing through the filter, therefore the bottom reservoir isn't filling up enough to create mist

If water won't pass through the filter, then either the filter has an adjuster that needs to be opened up or the filter needs to be replaced.

Not making ice or dispensing water

Does your fridge have a inline water filter or one inside the fridge? If so, try replacing the wate filter, as it could be obstructed and old and causing the loss of water flow.

It's a good idea to keep track of the date when any filter is installed so you can replace it before it losses it ability to filter properly, both from a issue of conveinence and for health reasons.

A dirty, old filter can allow some nasty contaminants to pass through after a fixed amount of time or set amount of water has passed through it.

If there is no filter, you might have to replace the water inlet valve that supplys water to the fridge. Just be sure to turn of the water line the fridge is connected to, before servicing the water supply valve that supplies the fridge.

Hope that helps, Best regards!

Same problem as before with knocking and banging

The bypass I refered to in the previous message is inside the header of the heater. It is responsible for the diversion of water both into the heat exchanger and "past" and if it malfunctions, the flow through the exchanger is poor and will lead to the water boiling, hence the banging.

Model ED20PK does it have a water filter and where?

Yes it can. Water filters will allow less and less water to pass through as time goes on. For that reason, resturants install pressure gauges before and after the filters to moniter water flow. If there is no water then the ice maker cannot make ice. Please let me know if there is anything else that I can help you with.
