32INCH rca TV KEEPS TURNING ON AND OFF BY ITS SELF ABOUT 3 YEARS OLD I have a 32 inch RCA, it repeately turns off and on. i changed outlets, plugged into a surge protector and not into one. I get the same result no matter where it is plugged into. What would cause this to happen. TV is roughly 4 yrs old

sound like there is a over heat / or failure of some circuits

32 inch are quite cheap now, so it maybe something you should re-place,

or flog to a 2nd hand shop if it last long enough to sell during test

My tv keeps turning off the red light that is usually on when it is off is gone. I have to plug into different outlet to get it to come back on then it will work normally for a few minutes then back off and repeat the same steps.

That sucks about your tv. Mine just turned 3 years old. Never had a problem with it. But you seriously can't expect wal-mart to take back and exchange a 3 year old tv. Come on. That would be stupid for walmart to do. Even RCA prolly dosent do more than a 1 year warranty. Unless you purchased the warranty from walmart, it will be cheaper to just get a 19 inch lcd tv now. Cheapest I see them on sale for is only $99.99

1. replace the power transistor at the horizontal section of your tv by desoldering . and buy with the same value, the store assistant in your area will do help you replacing the defective part of your tv. Thank You.

This is a manufacturer defect. Take your unit to a Service Center and ASK them to fix it. Since there are no manuals to repair they will give back you tv with a work order.
Make sure you have the Work Order or a Copy. Then Call 1-877-297-8391 and get a new tv

so is this sound on the tv or a sound system

if you have back ground of tv repair, remove back cover but you need tools and tester, check heater line from crt ckt board going to horizontal section.

I think that something has gone wrong on the power supply board. If you can check this for yourself otherwise find a competant technician. Hope this helps.

Change the lamp, you can order it from RCA, the instruction manual has order info on page 84.

I think that vertical deplection IC of you tv set is shorted. Please check also the YOKE of the unit, its maybe grounded.
