If you experience a problem where the door becomes jammed and will not unlock or open, here's an easy way to gain access inside your washer WITHOUT calling the repairman.

1. Remove the lower panel under the door by loosening the three screws under the bottom edge on the front of the washer. HINT: If you prop up the front feet of the washer with some small blocks of wood, this will make access to the screws much easier.
2. With the screws removed, the lower panel should drop down then come off. If the panel sticks, a light tap on either side will knock it loose.
3. Reach your hand up inside the washer behind the front casing on the right-hand side. This is where the door latch assembly is located.
4. At the bottom of the door latch assembly is a small pull tab. This is the manual release for the door. Pull the tab straight down and the door will come open.

Sometimes these doors will not unlock for whatever reason. If there are no error codes being generated, this could have just been a momentary glitch. If you see "Fdl" or "Fdu" error codes, these are usually indications of a failed door latch assembly and will require replacement.

Zanussi washing machine door wont lock

No, the door interlock is an important safety feature, after a young boy had his arm removed by a spinning washing machine. You have to fix it, not bypass it. My guess is that is is badly adjusted and the lock is not fully closing to trigger the microswitch. You can just join the wires together, but that might cause further problems. All these machines are electronic and the have 'what is happening? What do I do now?' logic. you can try it, but not if you have kids please.

There are videos here. Watch them and see if you did it right and if they have information on adjustment?

How do you remove the lower front cabinet plinth on a Zanussi IZ 16 S washing machine?

Why? If I remember correctly behind the plinth do not have access to anything. If you need to replace the drain pump or filter housing you can access from the bottom or open housing of washing machine. This washing machine has a housing split into two halves and afterwards you will have access to almost all components of the washing machine.
If you need to replace just plinth, may help this spare part list.

Zanussi FL884 Washing Machine door lock broken.

More likel that the door latch or handle is broken.
Only way to open door now is to remove the top cover and force the door lock open from inside, you may possibly break the lock by doing this, but there is really no other alternative.

Zanussi IZ 12 pump access

You should not need to remove anything to check and clean pump filter.
Open the filter door at the bottom right front of washer, there you will see the pump filter cover, unscrew the filter anti-clockwise, and remove the filter, and clean same.
With the filter out, you will see the filter housing, which is fastened directly on to the pump, have a good look inside the housing, and see if anything is stuck in there.
Refit filter, and test.

Thanks.

Try first to unplug the power cable and see if it allow you to open the door. In case it will not help, you have to raise the top of the washer to get to the switch and release it manually (The switch is inside the washing machine main housing near the door frame). Good luck
