SOURCE: connecting a BISSELL AUTO MIX PISTON TO A AUTO MIX KNOB

Take of the housing ,turn it over and you will see the under side of the auto mix dial , Then turn the auto mix dial to rinse only;
On the top of the piston you will see a small slot , this fits into
the out side spiral on the auto mix knob with the dial set to rinse only the top part of the spiail sould point to the courner
Tilt the piston slightly,then hook it on the point of the auto mix knob , when you turn the auto mix dial to heavy traffic the piston should slide down the outer spiral of the auto mix-dial ,
Put the housing back on with the auto mix dial set to heavy traffic, but make sure no tubes are trapped or this will stop the flow of water,
i hope you can under stand what i have wrote ,Goodluck

My power steamer model 1697, 8804 series doesn't **** up the water

I filled up my Bissel power steamer with hot water. I also filled up the formula mix. It turns on and sprays. The "dirty" water was seen the first time I used it. Now there the clean water is on the carpet and no dirty water is in the tank what"s up???

Bissell proheat pro tech model 7901-3 smart mix dial and valve assembly

Turn the knob to the water only, put the piston on the bottom of the knob then turn it slightly so it doesn't fall off, Start to put the cover on, when it is straight, turn the knob to the water only selection and push the top all the way down. The piston should have gone into the hole and the knob should turn easily.
