I have uninstalled mcafee anti-virus software from my lap top and I tried to install Kaspersky anti-virus 2009 but I keep getting a notice that mcafee anti-virus file sys filter driver still remains on my lap top and the Kaspersky will not install. How do I remove the file sys filter driver.
Use the McAfee Consumer Products Removal Tool (from McAfee): http://service.mcafee.com/FAQDocument.aspx?id=TS100507
Since you've already removed McAfee, it appears you can start with Step 2.
Try here... this may have what you need. its a removal tool http://download.mcafee.com/products/licensed/cust_support_patches/MCPR.exe
You can try running the setup exe through cmd and at the end of the command add /pSKIPPRODUCTCHECK=1
This will disable product check.
ex. in my pc
C:Documentsand SettingsAll UsersApplication DataKaspersky Lab SetupFilesKaspersky Internet Security 20109.0.0.459Englishsetup.exe/pSKIPPRODUCTCHECK=1
It worked for kis 2010 but it can work for every kaspersky setup file.
INSERT THE CD OF MCAFEE AND INSTALL AGAIN THE MCAFEE ANTI-VIRUS. AFTER FINISH INSTALL. RUN AGAIN THE CD INSTALLER OF MCAFFE FOR REMOVING THE SOFTWARE. BECAUSE IF YOU REMOVE FROM THE CONTROL PANNEL THE FILTER OF MCAFFE IS STILL THERE IN PROGRAMS FILE. YOU CANNOT INSTALL KASPER..
I TRIED THIS MANY TIMES EXCELLENT
thank you very much
