No red color printing

Tri color cartridge contains Cyan,Magenta & Yellow color inks, mono cartridge contain black ink, combination/mixing with these inks desired color out put will prints on paper.. If any one or more inks are missing/dried, result mis matched print outs on paper.
In your case I feel it's Magenta ink is not firing..,nozzles may clogged, try to clean the nozzles with solvents & try it...If no result ,. replace the color cartridge..

go to Edit > Color Settings, how is Photoshop Elements currently set? The first thing I would do is try setting it to "No color management" and see if you get better results. If this works for you, you're in luck, because color management gets tricky.In settings "No color management" does not produce acceptable results, you will have to start reading up on color management and color calibrating your devices, particularly your printer. You might want to also read Photoshop Elements Help topic "To print using color management."Most graphics software has setting for color management, but personally, I have always gotten the best results by simply turning color management off. Color management is primarily intended for people in a pre-press environment. Not everyone needs it. If you're not doing professional printing, first try working without color management before you assume you need it.

check the cartridge expiration date, and be sure that it is genuine

Weather you use color or not the system is tied togeather to use them both. A laser printer however would have been the best choice for you if you did not want color. However weather you use color or not the printhead in this unit is daisy chained thus the printer will not start without the color cartridge due to print head damage that can be caused by a dry print head.

If both cartridges are empty its because you have used color at one point.

Try to check the level of your ink in your color catridge maybe is running low or empty then if its empty then remove the catridge then replace another color catridge full of ink then run your printer again. If you successfully installed new ink catridge then it will automatically reset the level of your ink monitor to full.

Hello sir;As you discript seem like no cyan( blue), why don't make a color chart print out, it will tell you what color missing.

You need to clean the printhead of the printer to solve that issue. Because everytime you print, excessive inks are going to the printhead that's the reason why it's clogging the system up. That's because Kodak printers is using "pigments" as inks that's why Kodak printers are producing high quality prints unlike other printers - a photo printed from kodak could actually last for about 100 years. Now back to your issue, you need to clean the printhead from the printer but not manually. You could clean it by going to the software of the printer namely the KODAK HOME CENTER SOFTWARE. You need to click the "?" mark icon on the upper right corner of the software window then under the General Links select Maintenance then choose Clean Printhead. Do it at least twice and then try making prints. If that still doesn't work try calling Kodak Technical Support Representative: 1-800-421-6699

I had removed and reinstalled the empty 3e cartridge. Sorry for the Confusion. I hadn't put a new 3e cartrige in until today. Them I ran " deep clean" twice. The printer works fine. I still don't understand why the printer wouldn't print color, when I was had set the printer to print in color when my 3e cartridge was empty and all colors including the 6 black showed full.

If you could possibly manage to access the machine status menu and have it print to check the drum's life, fuser life, developer, etc.. pls refer. Kindly replace the toner cartridge accordingly use the menu settings when replacing any color if needed. Please print solid image or block in each color Cyan, Magenta, Yellow and Balck. Well see if what color causing the problem. Please let me know the print result it may be; washed out or too light, too bright or black, double image, or not clean.
