Not able to open links on webpages

I am having a problem opening links on webpages or searchpages. For instance when I am trying to review a bank statement or a copy of a check on my banks site, I click on the "view" link and it will say error on page in the bottom corner of my screen. I have tried right clicking, open in new tab, and it is the same page that I am currently viewing. Some links will not open at all. Please help. This problem didn't start until I downloaded IE8

Under the "tools" setting on toolbar. (usually in top right of screen in IE8) It might possibly be the Pop-up blocker is turned on and it is blocking access to the sites you are requesting.

Tools -- Pop-up blocker - then select Turn off pop-up blocker.

Hope this helps!

I am logging on to my on line banking, I go to ''my accounts'' I open up one of my accounts but the navigation bar on the left that lets me do transfers etc will not open. It WILL open on my other account....

It sounds like a problem with the links on the webpage. Contact your bank to see if others are having the same problem, and let the bank know what's going on. If you have a laptop, they might want you to bring it in to show them exactly what's going on, although if it is a webpage problem, they should be able to tell by accessing the site at the bank. Good luck, hope this helps.

Reconciling

If you are trying to reconcile to your bank balance, you should not be reviewing the "deposit detail" report.

1) Go to "Banking" then "Reconcile"
2) If the "Opening Balance" is incorrect, then close the "reconcile" window and go to "Reports" then "Banking" then "Bank Reconciliation Discrepancy" report. (This report will reveal what changed after your last successful reconciliation).
3) If the "Opening Balance" is correct, then you want to press "continue" to focus on the bottom of the window, which reveals "total deposits marked as cleared". If you have duplicates, you will see them on the right side of the screen, but the ultimate goal is to have a "Deposits Total" (in QuickBooks) that agrees with the "Deposits Total" (per Bank Statement).

The "Deposit Detail" report is a "Journal Report" to show you details of historical deposit records, Has nothing to do with "reconciling" your current bank balance.

Internet problem with NETBT & webpage error.

Dear sir good day In General, you can debug the Network Setting of the computer following these steps.

Step One. Check the Network parameters in the Computer's Device Manager. Make sure that the drivers are installed correctly; there is No IRQ conflict, and No Ghost installation. http://www.ezlan.net/faq#ghost

Step Two Verify Basic network setting in the OS: http://www.ezlan.net/Installing#verify
If the above two Steps indicates that every thing looks good but functionally it does not work.

Step Three. Check (and repair if necessary) the Socket Layers, Winsock, and or refresh the TCP/IP Stack. http://www.ezlan.net/clean#refreshnet

If need to Reinstall; Log to this page it have a lot of links to instructions for Windows Network Installation - http://www.ezlan.net/Installing.html
