Lost channels and advise needed

Hello everyone I am new to this so please bear with me..Please help if you can any advice will be appreciated. Now ... I have basic tv package of /*g*n //*()*a with standard scientific atlanta 4200DVb box.I had card been given to me .. which was a fun card.(atleast thats what was printed on it) ... Soo I had all the problem ...but Oct or Nov 2008 lost all channels and the bloke did the card for me disapperared ... Now I have been told that...I have to get starview ..or Dream Vox..some of those boxes..I am confused coz these boxes are freeviews boxes arn't they, Can any one here fix a card for me that will work... or reckon which box to buy..and do I need a Ariel cable to run them or through VM cable.if there is any one who does that then plz PM me .. Please help!!!Many Thankx..Ash

    I am ok with computers.. i know i can do that ... but I would need help...with fixing the card..but tell me if I get a star i need to put an arieal for it or the vm cable put on the back so the code change it will change it self???where i can download the software from ?

Hi, I dont know how good you are with computers, but you can get a programmer, and do your own card, your other options are getting a new box, like a starview, you would just unplug your box, plug in the starview box, but then you would have to download software for your box, some people sell boxes with software, and when codes change, you can update it yourself, hope you can understand this.

Vertical rolling of picture is the problem of your TV I assumes. Please send me the details of your tV, such as its Model number and Brand name, as each model and brand has its own adjusting setup for this fault. Whout knowing it, I can't advice you what to do to rectify this problem. Inform me these details by FixYa comment box. OK.

Convergence for HD channels only

Hello, please check the IC7102 (24LC64). This is eeprom that contains the convergence data. Please ask the Panasonic dealer if they can supply a replacement IC with the data for your HD. If you need more info please advice. Arpi
