Is this just on one piece of wood or does it act that way on all kinds of wood? Some wood is denser that others and that would cause the staple to not go completely into the wood.

Staples will not embed to finish surface?

Contact Arrow. I would guess the spring is broken. It should easily go through leather into wood.

Will Arrow #506 staples work in an Arrow JT27 manual stapler?

Hello, there. No, 506 staples will not work in the JT27 stapler. This staple gun takes JT21 staples in 1/4-inch, 5/16-inch and 3/8-inch. Did you have any more questions about your JT27?

How do I free up a jammed staple in an Arrow P22 model?

Hi Francis. Remove the staples from the Arrow P22. Place a piece of wood (rod) about a quarter of an inch thick between the arms of the stapler just behind where the stapler is ejected and press down a couple of times until the jammed staple is dislodged. If the plunger is already jammed in the downward position then first pull it up and then push it down again. This procedure has worked for me on a variety of staplers over a period of very many years. Good luck!!

What staples does a black and decker electric stapler 9700 take and where can I buy them?

Hi Stephen,
Of course the manual states to use their staples for best results.
However it does at least state it is designed for a wide variety.
Most hardware stores have a range of staples to choose from.
Home Depot, Harbor Freight, Lowes etc. Try a chisel point this may help penetrate the wood deep enough. All staples are not made the same. So again trial and error may be the quickest route. Fortunately you can purchase small boxes for your testing.
The manual for this stapler is here:
(Page 2 talks about the staples to use.)
Black Decker 9701 Instruction Manual Page 2
Good luck and hope this helps!

Our staples won't go all the way through . We

You didn't list the make and model of your stapler but if it's not driving the staples flush with the surface here are some possible causes:
1. The wood; If you are driving long staples into hardwood or knotty lumber you may have to use shorter staples to see how they set.
2. Stapler settings; Turning the air pressure up isn't the answer to driving staples deeper, it is only harder on the stapler. Most staplers work in the 90 to 120 psi range. The lower pressure you use the longer your stapler will last. Check/adjust the depth of drive control on the stapler to determine where the top of the staple is driven to.
3. Broke stapler; If it's not driving them to the proper depth but the level they are driven to is consistant, you may have a damaged piston o-ring/seal or the end of the driver is broken off. You'll have to go into the gun or take it to a service center to check these things.

What size staples and what size Arrow stapler do I need to stable coaxial cable

I would use 1/2 inch or larger. Set the staple into the wood and then pull gently to see if it holds.

Do I need to adjust the T50P to use short staples (like 6 mm). It is not working at all. The staples just pop off the surface. The 12mm are just barely going in to a wood chair frame I am working on.

You MAY need to lube the stapler. Use ONLY staples labelled for use in this stapler. Also check if there might be a smashed staple blocking the driver from doing a full stroke.

The staples do not enter the wood completly

often when squeezing the tool the front gets lifted and the staple does not set fully. try making sure the front is tipped down fully and in contact wood when it fires. if that doesnt work the push rod is not working properly and is easier to replace than try to fix

Staple Gun Troubleshooting

Most of the staple gun models lack an "anvil" — the metal plate with curved slots that office staplers use to bend the legs of the staple inwards and flattens them against the paper. Staples set with a staple gun retain their straight legs, and are held in place only by static friction of the legs against the compressed surrounding material, much like common nails. Indeed, some staple gun models can handle brads and nails as well as staples. Some staple guns also use divergent point staples where the legs twist as the staple drives into the surface providing superior holding power.
