I am having the same problem with the A and L and the shift key and the F key. I guess I will have to get a new key board. I have to keep pressing the keys till they work.

The J and K keys came off of my Acer laptop. There's a website I saw that shows you how to fix the keys, but where do you buy the keys?

Agree with the last Guest comment, I WILL never buy hitech gizmo from Taiwan again after two painful Taiwan products. They are all ****. Cloak as fully loaded but only half baked product with little quality control and no support. Keyboard, LCD, USB all died, replaced new or resurrected still died frequently. Now with my new Eten inherit this same crappy design philosophy of producing worst product in the world. Goodbye made in Taiwan.

I have the same problem except my keyboard randomly works. I think acer is a code work for piece of crap chinese computer. My first hard drive crashed after 12 months, then my cd burner craped out now the keyboard has crapped out and the usb's are starting to go what a piece of shit.

Replace the keyboard. You should be able to plug in an external keyboard through your usb port.

I would contact acer and talk to their tech support, so they can send you a new one. It seems to me that is a default computer, which means it's broken.

Factory reset without using a disk and ALT + F10 doesnt work

his MIGHT work:

1. Click "Start," "Turn Off Computer" and then "Restart", if it is on. If your computer is off, turn it on by pressing the power button above the keyboard.
2. Press the "F2" function key on your computer's keyboard to enter the BIOS utility.
3. Use the laptop's right arrow key to scroll to "Main." Confirm that the "D2D Recovery" is "Enabled." If the D2D option is "Disabled," scroll down to the option using the down arrow key. Press "Enter" to change the option to "Enabled."
4. Use the laptop's right arrow key to scroll to "Exit." The "Exit Saving Changes" option will be highlighted. Press "Enter" to save the settings and exit the BIOS utility. Your Acer Aspire will restart.
Reformatting the Acer Aspire

Keys died and pc shut downs

It's definitely not normal. Did you spill something onto the keyboard,
and did it leak through the keyboard into the "guts" of the computer?

Take the computer to a qualified technician, top test that the motherboard of the computer is still 100% working. If it is,
then pay the technician to replace the keyboard,

Is it still under warranty, maybe an "all-perils" warranty?

Acer laptop keyboard & touchpad not working

If you can log in by pressing the f8 key in safe mode, then try the system restore. If it doesn't work, it could be very well be a hardware failure.

Acer AspireOne Keyboard Already Degrading?

check your mouse settings in control panel
and make sure they are correct
maybe they are set to sensitive
otherwise i would recommend setting back to factory settings
make sure ac power is plugged in when doing this.
I have the same pc and i have no problem like that.
let me know if this solved
if the problem persists after setting to factory settings i would return it for exchange.
