Unable to install

Hi, First check the process of installation that you have done properly. Plugged your printer first but do not turn it on. Install the software disk. This installation will ask to plug the printer then turn the printer on, it will detect your printer automatically. If all the process are OK then make sure the printer is working and it is power on. Check the USB cable of the printer or replace the cable.

just uninstall the printer driver, Don’t connect the printer usb cable .first
1st you install the driver disc which is come along with the printer and when the software prompt you to connect the cable then plug the usb cable and follow the instruction.

There are several reasons this is happening. Check the cable on both ends. Make sure there is no sign of damage either in the cable or the computer/printer connector. I see at least one a day where the printer cable is plugged into a damaged USB port. Printer fire wire ports do break off their mother board too. The other possibility is that you're temporarily losing your USB ports on the computer. At Start, goto run and type SFC /scannow. This program will try to reinstall all the original protected files. Have you original operating system disks handy because if SFC finds files missing then it will ask for these disks. Good Luck

With the Lexmark printers communication subsystem you MUST let the driver ask for you to plug in the printer. DO NOT plug the printer into the USB port until told to do so.

To fix a fouled install:
(1) Uninstall the Lexmark drivers in Add Remove Programs
(2) Shutdown the computer
(3) Disconnect the printer from the USB port
(4) Restart the computer
(5) Run the Driver Installation software
(6) Cancel ALL attempts by windows to auto install the printer
(7) When the software asks for the printer connect it and continue

ok do not put driver cd in plug the usb from printr to computer after restart it will ask for the driver put cd in drive and goto search driver
this then should find driver on disk
if not control/ device manager/ look for printer and delete any driver /restart pc /and do above

A web page will open, follow instructions, select model, select operative system etc., and click on download .
Chose to download the file in my documents when asked.
Afterdownloading,findthefile,doubleclickonthefile,thenifyou get introubles,followtheinstructionsbelowtoresetandreinstalldrivers:

• Unplug printer USB.
• Go to control panel >> installed printers in Windows and remove (delete ) any installed printer from printer list.
• Download driver from website and run the file.
  
• Follow driver installation wizard.
• Plug back printer when prompted from installation wizard.

Note:someprinterdoes not work on Vista, if you do not find any driver downloadfor Vista on your model page, that means your model is not Vistacompatible.

Try turning the printer off for a while, take the cartridges out and put them back in

First option - If you are using Windows OS plug the USB plug to the USB panel of your PC and the other end of the printer cable to your printer. Your PC detects your printer. Install the drivers needed for your printer to work. Insert the installation disk that comes with the printer to your CDRom drive. Install when asks to. After installation, restart your PC.
After restarting to check if your printer is connected click >start< go to >control panel< double-click> System<click>Hardware<click>Device Manager and see if your printer is there.
Second option - if still your printer is not detected by your PC try unplugging from the USB slot and insert it to another USB slot and follow the first option
Third option - if the first and second option does not work, use a different printer cable. The cable that comes with the printer might be defective.

Hi this should be easy to do get the printer and plug the lead into the slot on back of printer then plug the other end into your computer their should only be one place it will fit in back of computer plug the lead in their might be picture of printer on back of computer it will be small and near a printer port.
The port in back of your computer is about 2 inches long or about 5 or 6 cm then plug the lead coming from printer into the port.
Now plug printer in and swtch on then switch computer on.
Now once your computer has started up you might get message new hardware found or start hardware wizard if you have disk that came with printer put this in your comp and follow instructions if you dont have disk let me know then i will talk you through the process let me know if your having problems ill be glad to help ok speak soon good luck but you should have no problems as its all plug and play and should set itself up.
If your printer is using usb port and not printer port then it will need plugging into any usb port on either the front of computer or back if you are unsure then let me know ok ill gladly help you ok
