Master reset from settings menu

A master reset restores the original factory settings and may delete your personal data on the internal storage, such as downloads, ringtones, images, apps, contacts, and Visual Voicemail. It does not delete data stored on the SIM card or SD card.

1. From any Home screen, tap Apps > Settings > Backup & reset > Factory data reset > Reset phone.
2. If your phone is password protected, you'll be prompted to enter your Pattern, PIN, or Password.
3. Tap Erase everything.

7. Wait as the device resets.

3. Scroll to the 'PERSONAL' heading, then tap Backup & reset.
4. Tap Factory data reset.
5. Tap Reset phone.

7. Tap Erase everything.

• Check the input selection by pressing the INPUT button. You may be watching the wrong input.
• If you cannot hear sound from the TV, you may have accidentally pressed the MUTING button on your
remote control; press the MUTING button again or press VOL + to deactivate muting.
• If the remote control is not functioning properly, the batteries may be installed incorrectly or may be low or
an object or light may be interfering with the remote control.
• To reset the TV to factory default settings:
1 Turn on the TV.
2 Press and hold down the V button on the remote, press the POWER button on the TV set. (The TV
will turn itself off, then back on again.)
3 Release the V button when the TV is turn on.
WARNING: The factory reset will clear all of your customized settings including the Parental Lock setting.
When the Password is lost or cannot remember, enter the master password: 4357. This password clears your
previous password and allows you to enter a new password.

Just make a back copy of all your important data before proceeding.

1. From standby select Menu > Settings > General > Master reset.
2. If you want to keep installed applications, unmark Delete all user
installed applications.
3. Select Delete.
4. Select Yes.
5. Enter the phone lock code and select Yes.

Still not working try this

1. Turn it off, remove the battery out and reinsert it back again
2. Hold the Home and Volume Down button
3. Press and hold the Power button until it turns on again
4. Just follow the on-screen procedures to reset the Sony Ericsson

Once the restoring process completes, the Sony Ericsson Xperia arc will then reboot, and then it will restore back to its original default state setting again like when you bought it way back then.

Pressing the Reset Button will probably not delete the playlists and data, it will probably just restore the factory settings. To delete everything, go to Settings--> Common Settings--> then Format. In neither of these ways can the operating program be deleted, only the data and customizations.
