Have you formatted the card on the camera that it is being used on? Sometimes, the camera may not like how the card is formatted at the factory.
Each time when I am done with a shoot, I transfer my photos to my computer, format the cards, and recharge all the batteries. This way, the next time I go on a shoot, all I have to do is pick up my camera bag, and I know that my cards are okay, and my batteries are charged.

Your phone may not support 2 gb cards. Also check the little slider lock on the card to make sure it is not in the locked position. Check the owners manual for the phone, it will tell you the size limit for the card.
How big is the memory card? Some of the older versions of the Vu don't support anything above 2 GB. My phone is a newer version, so it supports 4GB.
It all really depends on whether or not your phone is new, and what version it is...it varies depending on the age of the phone and what network it's on.
