Sounds like your pots are dirty. You need to spray a cleaner such as Deoxit in the pots then rotate them a few times..This has to be done with the power off and the amp unplugged from the wall...Remove the knobs, get some food grade plastic hose which will be a snug fit when shoved on over the shafts of the pots...make sure to cut a piece off the hose about one inch in length...spray the cleaner into the hose and then with the hose still shoved down over the shafts rotate the shafts back and forth a few times...Then power up the amp and recheck...This will only work if the pots are not gone beyond the point of no return..Outside of that, they will need to be replaced which means you will have to disassemble the unit...

Noise from a Yamaha EMX 2000 Powered mixer

Sounds like it might not be cleaned enough. They may have done the pots but the internal circuit boards may not have been done enough.

Crackle noise at loud volume

We will need more info to help you. Make and model of the problem gear, etc. Most noise problems are caused by dirty contacts in the jacks or intermittant solder joits in the circuit.

Left speaker not working, system crackles if left side is active, alright when left side shut down.

Get a meter and check the resistance on the speaker. Looks like a speaker may be blown but with the description of the crackle noise from the slide controls you might have a bad pot in the unit or the pot has come loose from the board. This could explain why the speaker blew out

Low volume one speaker

It seems likely that the pot (volume control) is dirty. with a slider you can normally get fluid down the side of the knob, your's is a rotary control and you sometimes can do it round the shaft of the pot but more often have to spray it in where the connections go into the pot. You'll need some contact cleaner spray which you can get online or from an electronics store, get it onto the pot track and then take the pot to each end of its travel a few times, this'll probably sort it out until next time. If you're taking it apart it might be worth just getting a new and better pot and soldering that in if you are hand with a soldering iron. The ones in Mackies nowdays are pretty sh1t.

Why does the left channel of mixer randomly crackle, distort, and/or cut-out?

left channel control pot dirty most likely. is there a slider type pot on channel? this would have to be cleaned with dustoff spray.

Popping and crackling master volume pot when adjusted

Get a can of CRC226 and with the spout, put a squirt in the area where the resistance element is and work the pot. You can go in the center of the slot. DO NOT use contact cleaner as this destroys the lube in the pot.

Crackling sound in speaker

These speakers have a history of being blown if played too loud. Apparently the higher quality CX version are reliable. If the lows are what is crackling, the voice coils are probably cooked causing it to drag the pole pieces.

Occaisional Loud spurts of noise?? Playing along normally and it suddenly goes very loud for a second. Any suggestions?

This is PROBABLY due to a bad volume control pot or wiring to the pot. Sometimes people have used DeOxit or Blue shower in the pots and it wrecks them. The resistance element may be cracked in he pot. The break would be on the side of the pot that connects to ground.

Marshall MG50 DFX, the volume knob OD channel crackles

Either the control is damaged (happens if they get hit) or it is possible the circuit board it is mounted on has broken solder OR worse, a crack near the control. The unit will require servicing. Parts are readily available.

Hi. When switched on the speaker makes a loud constant crackling sound. Nothing will work, no keys, stops, anything. Just a loud crackle!

This usually means that the speaker is blown. Try running through a different setup and see if it fixes the problem. Hope this helps
