Make sure the machine is ON and you have power, then proceed as per instructions.

SOURCE: My Nespresso citiz lungo button will only give

Ok, what you have done is programmed your machine. If you hold down the button for 3 secs you get 3 secs of coffee, so turn on your machine wait for it to warm up then without using a capsule press and hold the button until you get 110mls for a lungo and this will be stored in the memory. If this doesn't work there is a on/off switch on the right handside turn it on with your finger down on the lungo button for 5 secs and then release the button and this will take it back to factory settings.

SOURCE: Saeco Odea Giro descaling problem

Ok first check if the machine is in greenlight state when you press and hold the water button, as it will not work when the red exclamation mark blinking.

also check if the button work at all flipping back and forth to hot water and steam.
I have never had this problem that it dident work.
But remember this, you dont have to do the descaling again as that has nothing to do with the reset.
You can even reset the descaling alarm with out having done the descaling.

If that for some reason wouldent work I would think its the CPU card is not working.

Nespresso CitiZ Espresso Machine by De'Longhi. Turned on started process by pushing left green light but stopped process before coffee made. Now machine just makes a noise and no water coming through.

Question edited for full make model (what it is)', and change 'Citz' to CitiZ.

Try a full reset.

Reset to factory settings With machine being turned off, press and hold down the Lungo button for 5 seconds. LEDS will blink fast 3 times to confirm machine has been reset to factory settings.

When I press the espresso button instead of esspreso makes a long coffe .I must ad I descaled it yesterday .

You may have accidentally changed the amount setting for your espresso shot when resetting the descale counter.

If you lost the manual you can find one here.
http://www.gaggia-usa.com/support_docs/Gaggia_Brera_Quickstart_Guide.pdf

On page 11 (with the printed number 31) you find how to change these settings:

• Place a cup under the dispensing spout.
• Hold the "espresso size" button pressed for 5 seconds to enter the programming mode; the "coffee" icon will blink quickly and the coffee will start to be brewed; the icon will flash during the whole coffee brewing cycle.
• Press the same "espresso size" button again when the amount of coffee in the cup reaches the desired level.
At this point the button "espresso size" is programmed; each time it is pressed and released, the machine will brew the same amount of coffee that was just programmed.
The same operation can be repeated for the "Lungo size" button.

1.My Nespresso Pixie Lights never stop flashing. 2. I also want to reset to factory settings because the cup portions are off. 3. I feel the water temperatures is never hot enough for the coffee

1: Depending on how long you've had your machine, it may need descaling. The machines are preset for hard water - if you're in an area with soft water, try pressing and holding the Lungo button while you turn the machine on. Hold until the lights stop flashing.
2: The Pixie can be reset to factory settings by holding both buttons down before and when you turn the machine on, again until the lights stop flashing - this will reset to factory settings.
3: The temperature is preset to be the optimum temperature for the extraction process. If, after following the above steps, the temp is still too low, call the Nespresso Club and they will advise you.
Hope this is of help to you!

My nespresso is only creating 3-4 oz of coffee using the 6 oz button. Have descaled with no change. Any ideas?

Try holding both the buttons down and then turning the machine on while still holding the buttons till they stop flashing - usually about 2 - 5 seconds. This will reset to factory settings. Then you can reprogramme the Lungo button if necessary, by holding it down white the coffee is being extracted, till the amount you want is processed. The machine will remember this till you reset to factory settings.

Nespresso citiz won['t exit descaling mode

After speaking with Nespresso, I suspect that the previous answers are coincidences rather than solutions. The issue, according to Nespresso (and which I've now confirmed through testing) is that the Citiz tends to overheat when you run this much water through it. You will notice that the blinking lights go from a fast blink to a slower blink when this happens. At this point, you need to simply wait for the machine to cool down - eventually, the lights will switch back to a fast blink, and you can now take it out of descaling mode or run another batch of water through it. Nespresso says this takes about 5 minutes - in my experience, it's closer to 10 (I haven't timed it, but it's slow to cool). So patience is the rule of the day!

Nespresso clitz's light is keep blinking. I pressed both button but not working, I turned it on and off and make sure wate container is placed correctly.

It sounds like you've put it into descaling mode. Hold down the "large" button for a second or two and water should start coming through. Press the large button again to stop it. Lift the capsule eject handle and put it back down. Then hold down both buttons for about 3 seconds to exit descaling mode.

When I hit the Americano button, it comes out like an espresso, not enough water comes through. I've just descaled. How to fix?

The amount of water is programmed by holding in the button. Put your cup below, and press the button. Keep holding until you are happy with the amount of water that came out - and then let go.
Next time you use it, you just need to do the normal short press on the buttom.
(Both the Espresso and the Lungo button can be programmed.)
