Hi im joe,
if the screen says no font, no picture, no song data it means all the data installed was lost. you have to send it to the nearest service center to have it reprogram.

SOURCE: magic (karaoke) mic sound delay problem when connected to HDTV

Ok..I found a workable solution. Essentially using my HDTV only for the lyrics(video output) and using a RCA to stereo mini plug cable to send the sound output to my amplifier that has a analog stereo input. Works like magic. No delay. It went from being unusable to WOW!

SOURCE: Magic Sing EG-18000 Microphone Delay

i bought et18k. just the same as yours.its 2 days old and has the same problem. the technical assistant says that its because of the digital setting that new tvs have. there are two ways to solve this though:

1. connect the video (yellow plug) to the tv. and the other two plugs (yellow and white) to the stereo. when i say stereo, its not the dvd home theater system that you have but a separate one. if you connect it to the home theater that you have, it'll just sound the same, you still have the delay.

2. connect the magic sing to the older tvs hangin out. and you'll get no problem at all.

**TVs such as sony, samsung, philips, sharp and all plasma tvs including other newly designed tvs will have the delay since they all share the HDMI thingy that causes sh*t.

SOURCE: Can't power ON...

See if the microphone connector wiggles. It shouldn't move, but if it does, the legs on the connector can snap inside.

HOw do I connect my Magic Sing to the Samsung wireless Soundbar and my Sharp LED HDTV to avoid 2 sec delay?

Which version did you buy? the latest version is ET23KH. I am on the waiting list at love2karaoke because the hindi version has not been released yet.

I used to have the ET19KV and my friend has ET18K, which are older models 2011 and 2009 respectively.

ET23KH supports HDMI connection with the cables included so that problem u should not have.

Which model do u got?

Battery doesn't hold charge for more than a week

All batteries will eventually fail to hold a charge. The battery chemistry and how you charge it can change how long the battery will last. The DMC-FS4 has a Lithium-ion battery so it shouldn't have as much of the memory issue of older rechargeable batteries. (This is the "you routinely recharge the battery when it's at 50% then it always stops working at 50% charge" problem.)

How old is your battery? Eventually you will need a new battery but the time to replacement will depend on the number of recharge cycles. With a Li-ion battery, I'd expect several thousand recharges before failure. Temperature and usage will effect this. The battery does lose charge even when not used.

Be careful, some versions of the firmware look for Panasonic's specific batteries or a "that match the Panasonic rigorous specs".

I've seen a few devices where the charger failed before the battery. If a new battery doesn't seem to be charging, replace the charger. I hope this helps.

If unused for any length of time, rechargeable batteries lose their ability to retain a charge. Try it with a brand new, fully-charged battery. FWIW, I recharge all my camera and flashgun batteries monthly.

Your battery has probably just reached the end of it's service life, or developed a memory after repeated chargeings without being fully depleted. All rechargeable batteries have an average maximum number of duty cycles. (drain and charge) If your charger has a deep cycle feature, try using this to completely drain and recharge the battery. If it doesn't, try putting it in your trimmer and locking the trigger back for a few hours, then recharge it. If neither of these work, it's time for a new battery. If you do get a new battery, be sure to COMPLETELY drain the battery before recharging by locking the trigger back every few uses to avoid developing a memory and help extend the life of your new battery.

Purchased the Disney Tangled Glimmer and Glow Lantern. Trying to replace the 3 AAA batteries that it came with - but doesn't work w/ others (tried 2 different brands of batteries - both new) won't...

I had the same problem initially with this toy. I tried to replace the factory batteries with regular AAA alkaline batteries with no luck. I went to a specialty battery shop to try to find the carbon zinc replacement batteries also with no luck. When I got home I remembered that I had a basket full of rechargeable batteries of varying sizes so I thought that I would sift through them to see what I had. I found three of the Rayovac 15 minute rechargeable NiMH 2000 m A h AAA batteries and I charged them up just to see if they would work in the toy- THEY DID!!! I would imagine that any battery like this would work whether it was rechargeable or not- and they're probably a little bit cheaper too. I hope you have good luck making your lanterns sing and glow again too!

Vocal problem

hi there..if there is video and background audio coming out from the TV, and no voice recognition from the mic- then mic is the problem. I believed the problem is the "voice coil". This is a part that can be replaced- you can contact me and we can repair that.

two ways to check
remove the mic ball
the part which the mic ball is is covering is the voice coil.
try holding both terminals (black and white wire)- if there is feedback sound- it is open and need to be replaced
try using your tester- test the impedance- there should be 500- 600 ohms reading
