My TFT TV is not working, the brand is KTV (the main board is Hyundai) I received it not working and changed the Capacitor on the Power board that were faulty and it started working. I had worked with it for about 30 minutes, Moved it from my Lab to my house, worked with it for 10 Minutes and then went to the OSD menu and changed some parameters. After touching the language (By mistake) the screen had froze, The buttons froze And after I had pressed them a few times the language updated to French and the next menu option had also changed (I doo not know what it was, I can not speak french) I had received a message and the button and screen was frozen. I had turned the TV off and since then it is not turning on. * I Do not have a remote control.

slapshot,
What you have there could be one of three possibilities. Micro, eprom or tact switches... Tact switches are the small contact switches behind the buttons you depress to turn the volume up and down or change the channel. Sometimes these small switches can become contaminated or breakdown due to corrosion. What we call in the industry a windex syndrom, because the older crts on some models had the swiches exposed just below the lower ridge of the cry where when cleaning the screen windex could drip down onto the switch and cause the corrosion to begin.
Eprom is another likely suspect. This Ic is responsible for storing an array of information including customer settings and other logics convert what the eprom stores into electronic pulses for any number of fuctions. For example press the volume down on your Tv and the eprom has the information to show you the volume bar, the level the volume bar was last set at and the increments at which you are reducing it realtime.
The Micro is another possibility. It acts like a traffic cop engaging various circuits to do or not do something according to a preset list of conditions. Timers, looking at a particular input or yes even bringing up the menu is tasked through the micro controller Ic or micro for short.
The fact that you can eventually get the unit to operate suggests that something in the logic circuit is failing and will in all likelyhood continue to do so until eventually it doesn't work at all...
the problem is the power supply board. we are an lg servicer. your welcome
SOURCE: screen is frozen on with no picture and no sound.
You need to move further south if it is frozen. It's cold up north :-)
If you've pulled the power from this tv (power cycled it) and it still has this problem ... frozen with no picture and no sound. How a screen can be frozen with no picture, I'm not sure. But it sounds like you are going to be on your way to the repair shop. Or to buy a new tv.
If I couldn't see and couldn't hear, how would I know you were even here?
SOURCE: I have a Vizio GV47L
ANy sign of DC filter caps with open top (may be that was the sound you hear was cap is blowing its tops). You need to do some voltage checking and some visual inspection.

You have to remove the heatsink to see the caps under it.
Post back what you see.

SOURCE: Viewsonic N2635W. Did not turned on. I replaced
You should also replace the cable that connects the main board with the control button.
Also replace the control button main board(a motherboard with all the buttons)
For example look here. It should look like this http://www.interliquidparts.com/wp-content/uploads/wpsc/product_images/IMG_6420.JPG
finally replace the ribbon that connects it to the main =board since these are the only important things that could still cause the problem you have.
Please rate if this helped you.
