Samsung HLN5065 DLP TV - Turns on, have low quality picture

I have a Samsung DLP TV model no HLN5065WIX; it turns on, has low quality picture, may be off color but the most troublesome is that it makes cranking noise which sounds like stripping plastic gears but not sure. The light works, no blinking red light. Is this worth getting the tv repaired?

you may have a ballast fault which provides high voltage to your bulb or lamp door switch may be at fault check for continuity.

My Samsung DLP hlr4667 turns itself off multiple time a night. Otherwise the picture quality is fine and no warning of a problem.
it may be faulty wiring or a bad dust buildup if its still under warning i would have it replaced otherwise it may be to risky to do it yourself

What is wrong with your TV ? Call Encompass they might have what you are looking for! 1-800-638-3328 they will have parts for Samsung. I myself own the same TV 5065W just replaced Lamp and Color Wheel.

Samsung DLP HLN5065- picture is messed up with horizontal and vertical lighter lines- this happened for about a week- then the pic totally cleared up, crystal clear for 8 or 9 days -- then it messed up...
Probably a loose ribbon connector inside the TV. If so it's easily solved.
