The problem has just manifested itself after 6+ years of faultless service. When the unit is switched on, the DVD drawer opens. When I press the button to open/close the drawer in order to close it, it closes momentarily and then opens again. I have tried turning it off and then on again at mains but the problem persists. I can't seem to switch it off with the drawer closed without someone to help, i.e. I hold the drawer shut while the power is turned off. Any solutions?
With the price of dvd players and yours bieng 6 years plus it make more sense to just buy a new one.
Testimonial: "Thing is, the DVD player is only a small part of the unit. It has several other functions, some of which remain unused from brand new. The main part of course is that it is "the" sound system for the TV. It is primarily a high quality 5.1 Surround Sound Home Theatre System, this part works perfectly. It is a shame that Panasonic have not developed a system of HDMI daisy chaining, where all of the units have a separate autonomous function so if it develops a fault, you only replace that part of the system. Making a single unit an all singing and dancing multi-function device is not cost effective to the end user when something like what has happened to me occurs."
