It sounds like the lamp assembly has come apart (parts falling into the fan below) and the lamp inself is totally defective. Replace the Lamp and assure the fan below the lamp is clear of debris

If it is a grinding sound, or a sound you might consider painful to listen to for more than say, five seconds--it's your color wheel.

The color wheel in most MITS DLPs can be replaced on its own. However, in some cases, you need to replace the whole Light Engine.

Expect to pay $400+ for the Light Engine and $250+ in labor for someone to install it.

WD-52525 will not turn on, Flashing Red light.

if that is a dlp tv . not shure just by model. but if it is then they do have a lot of problems with vented filtor capacitors on power supply and other boards. magor work unless you replace chassis. but the very first thing to try is lamp and make shure cooling fans and vents are clean. J.D.W.

Tv stays on for about 3 minutes the shuts off

If it is Mitsubishi WD-52525 DLP TV then it sounds weak lamp problem in TV and TV needs lamp replacement.
How old is this TV and did you replaced lamp recently?
Lamp replacement is written in user manual of TV and it is easy work.
Please buy Mitsubishi original lamp for TV safety.
Thanks.

Our Mitsubishi WD 52525 goes to blue screen and shuts off.

It sounds like you TV is overheating and the video is suffering and the lamp is overheating as well. Also, if your TV is over 2-3 years old, the mirrors (behind and below the big front screen) desperately need to be cleaned. Clean all filters and fans as well. (Look on side and behind the unit). Is the TV in a "hot" environment and/or dirty environment? DLP TV's are NOT sealed units. They need to be cleaned every few years to work well to have a good, clear, bright picture.

I have a mitsubishi wd-52525- when i turn on the tv, it sounds as if something is stuck in the fan, no picture, but I do have sound.

the aliens laid eggs in your tv while you were sleeping. you have to destroy the television before they hatch. if you watch survivor they will hatch and you are doomed.

Color gets hazy & basically is only pink & green

try to open the unit.then check for anything suspicious, like connectors if properly connected etc.then , power it on.look for something that causes the fan to stop running or anything related to that.check the lamp, too.

Mitsubishi WD-52525 52-inch DLP HDTV ywllow warning lamp light

that means your lamp it is getting to the end of its life.
sometimes even if the lamp still good the TV will send you that message because that timer is closed to 5000 hours

What you can do is open the lamp door, closed again and the tv will ask you if you replaced it the lamp, and just say yes and that sign will go away

or just simple replace the lamp. 915P020010
