Tried to start a wash. it seemed like it was about to but then hadnt (no water was in machine) then it went off and could smell burning. it tripped the electric rid switch too. now no lights or power on when try it. Can this be repaired cheaply? Thanks also about a year ago had a slow leak which wasnt repaired for a while could it be from that? Thanks for any advice :) al

Indesit washing machine locks as soon as turned on at wall My washing machine (Indesit IWC 61451) stopped working when my parents put on a load. I wasn't there to see what happened, I was told "all the lights flashed" during the cycle. When I came to see what happened, the door was locked and wouldn't unlock until I'd turned the machine off at the wall. Took out the filter, and it seemed clear of any gunk or debris. When I turn the machine back on, the door locks if it is shut, and I can't start a new cycle. The lights all seem to act like the machine is working but nothing happens when I press start. Before this there's been no indication anything was wrong with the machine, no weird noises or leaks or whatever. Thanks
