Where I can find last BIOS version for my P5VD2-NVM/S?

Click on Start and then Run.

In the text box in the Run window, type msinfo32 and click OK. This will open the System Information program.

When System Information first opens, it defaults to the System Summary, a short list with some of the most important information about your computer system listed.

On the right side of the program, locate the BIOS Version/Date entry.

This field contains the BIOS version that is currently running on your motherboard.

This field may also contain additional information such as the BIOS date, BIOS manufacturer, motherboard manufacturer and the motherboard model number.

Note: If the BIOS date is shown, it can be useful in determining the current BIOS version from a motherboard manufacturer's website if the version is not clear here.

Write down your existing BIOS settings so you can restore them after you've flashed the new BIOS firmware.

Determine the correct BIOS firmware that you need for your computer.

Check your computer manufacturer's website for this information.

If you have a custom-built system, check the motherboard manufacturer's website for the latest BIOS firmware.

Download the latest BIOS firmware specific to your computer.

Some manufacturers provide custom software that initiates the update through your operating system; others provide a third-party application that allows you to flash the BIOS through DOS.

Run the installer or executable file that you downloaded.

Alternately, if the BIOS firmware update is handled via your operating system, simply click "Update," "Write," "Confirm" or a similarly-named button.

If you are prompted for an installation CD, insert the media into your disc drive.

If the CD contains an "autoexec.bat" file, the BIOS will flash automatically when you restart the computer.

While the BIOS flashing procedure varies, nearly all manufacturers provide detailed instructions for completing the task.

Turn off your computer.

Wait about one minute and then reboot.

On some systems, the flash update will restart your computer automatically.

As your computer reboots, go immediately into the BIOS setup menu and look for an option to "Restore Defaults" or "Load Fail-Safe Defaults."

This will be on the main page or the last page of a tabbed menu.

Navigate using the arrow keys on your keyboard and follow all on-screen instructions.

When finished, save your new settings and then exit BIOS.

Your computer will load the operating system.

Foxconn 945G7MA-8EKRS2 Motherboard will not post with pentium d cpu ,i have even updated with the lates bios flash,

Good day,
According to Intel 945G chipset supports Celeron D up to Core2Duo. Intel Gigabyte's 945 DS3 even supports up to Core2Quad. GByte Foxconn has 3 mobo bios from there site. Foxconn
According to their date: Latest to oldest
4BFF1P56 No Version 4BFF1P40
Have you tried installing the no version bios? In my experience some latest bios have some problems with other devices so try to use the no version bios. or try a different mobo bios with the same chipset from Foxconn. below are two foxconn mobo models i can't see the difference.

Update at your own risk..

I've AMD Athlon 64 bit processor 2800+ Motherboard Asus K8S-MX Series SiS 760 Fx series chipset BIOS version: 08.00.11 How can I save my current bios and update bios??

you must plug in your pc with ups

do step by step from internet and alwayas choice last date
http://support.asus.com/technicaldocuments/technicaldocuments_content.aspx?no=714

for download =http://drivers.softpedia.com/progDownload/Asus-K8S-MX-Bios-1013-Download-13287.html

1st thing you'll need to do is go to the motherboard manufacturer's website & download the new BIOS file & the flashing program. These 2 files will have to be copied to a bootable floppy, then you'll have to boot off it & do the update from DOS. The motherboard website should have a detailed explanation on how to perform a flash...print out the instructions & follow them exactly & you should have no problem

ONN N15235 motherboard, which is a 775 socket. I am currently running a Pentium E2160 on its but its pretty slow so I bought an E5400 to replace it. When I changed the CPU over and started up my computer...

The LGA 775 processor socket doesn't matter, calderwooddu.

It's up to the motherboard chipset, and the BIOS program, and version, of what that Foxconn N15235 will support. I would go back to the Pentium Dual Core E2160, use CPU-Z from CPUID.com, (Free), and see what the motherboard chipset is, first.

(Motherboard chipset: The Northbridge, and Southbridge chips. Chip is slang for I.C. Integrated Circuit)

The Northbridge chip is what determines what Processors are supported.

1) http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Motherboard_diagram.svg

2) http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Northbridge_%28computing%29

Since the E2160 is built upon the 65nm technology, and the E5400 is built upon the 45nm technology, the Northbridge chip of the Foxconn N15235 may not support the E5400.

With the technology change are also Instruction Set changes. Plus other parameter changes. The BIOS program, and version on the Foxconn N15235 may not support these, either. Sorry to be a bummer.

Not a solution per se, Yet.

Need to know what computer this Foxconn mobo is out of. (MOtherBOard)
OR, if you get the computer operational again, let's use CPU-Z to see what the motherboard chipset is.
Need help in downloading, and/or installing CPU-Z, post in a Comment.

Version number?

Bios 7N is for the following
  1. Support up to 137GB HDD and above.
  2. HPT 370 RAID BIOS version 1.11.0402. The RAID function is for KT7-RAID / KT7A-RAID only. This BIOS version is also for non RAID boards and HPT BIOS will be automatically disabled while RAID controller chip not detected.
Version A9 is the last update
  1. Fix nVidia GeForce4 Ti 4x00 AGP card compatible issue with Windows XP.
  2. HPT 37x BIOS version 1.11.0402.The RAID function is for KT7A-RAID only. This BIOS version is also for non-RAID boards and HPT BIOS will be automatically disabled while RAID controller chip not detected.
  3. BIOS Compile Date: 7/11/2002.
LINK
The above link is for the KT7a with Raid, however the standard KT7a also lists the same bios updates, the KT7a Raid ver1 lists different bios that won't be compatible with your board.

Requared bios updated versin for foxconn 865gv chipset mother board

Hi, I run a foxconn mobo myself and yes its a great board. But dont go to the foxconn site looking for downloads. instead go to the VIA site they make the chips and you will get more sense there. If all else fails Foxconn do have a "Contact us " link on their home page. This will give you the company email address and you could request directions to the update site there, the only trouble is it could take weeks to get a response. Regards mistyman
