LE code, Unplugged but machine doesn't want to spin properly

HI, I have had the LE a code a couple of times and have been able to correct in the past by unplugging and restarting.  This time the machine starts and even will spin but on some spins it acts like it wants to do a revolution but just wiggles in place.  I here the motor trying to work but the sound is different than I have heard before.  Any advice?

I have the same problem with my frony load LG WM2077CW washer. I read the two solutions posted: 1) recommend change motor brush, 2) recommend change the halt senso. Which solution do I need. Thanks

I read the two solutions posted. Do I need to replace the brush of the motor OR the hall sensor, which is located on the stator. Thanks

This washer is a piece of junk. I have the same problem with it not spinning. It does save you on your water bill, but you break even when you have to fix it. The dryer is not any better. I had to fix the dryer twice in three years.

A picture of the "hall sensor" would be nice! I have exactly the same problem as the first person J.Klara. I've removed the back panel, the rotor hub, and the stator assembly. Don't see any thing that looks like a sensor. Tried googleing images but too many variations of this "hall sensor." I'll keep looking I suppose. Have had the WM2077CW for five years without problems. It even survived 75% submergence in flood water, but I took it apart, cleaned it up and it ran fine for the last three years. It stinks if you leave the door closed though, and we live in dry-climate southern New Mexico. Have read many complaints about its foul smell.

Your unit doesn't have brushes, the problem is the hall sensor, which is located on the stator. Have this replaced and your problems will go away. Insure you are using 'HE' branded detergent as well.

Question edited for clarity.

LE, not L3?

LE code on Kenmore washer
An LE error code is displayed when the tub fails to spin. The error code indicates that the motor can't operate properly because you've overloaded the washing machine, or a foreign object is stuck in the tub.

Why is an LE error code displayed on my washing machine?

LE error code has popped up & suddenly the control lock is on, I have pressed the control lock & it counted 3,2,1 & nothing happens, won't unlock & LE is still there

if the door locks and wont unlock
LE error
then your machine still has water in it from the last spin/ wash

i think its a blocked up waste outlet
or the pump is blocked up

you need to check the machine is draining correctly and in a timely manner.,..
or it will fail
you need to fully drain the machine then turn off the mains
wait 5 mins and the door will then open
then check the drainage...

Wm1814cw front load washer . LE code not spinning

Hi.

The LE code means SUDS, or excessive detergent detected. The code indicates that there is a blockage problem because of excessive detergent.

Try disconnecting power and running a spin speed or dry only cycle a couple of times after connecting back.

If that is not enough you will need to access drain filter and check for blockage. You may also need to reach the pressure switch located in control assembly and to clean up the long rubber hose connected to pressure switch and going inside the tub.

Start disconnecting power and running a spin only or dry only cycle. Once problem is fixed check that the detergent you are using responds to specifications on user manual and check that the amount of detergent used in cycle is correct.

My washer has an LE error code. It makes an attempt to spin after beginning a cycle, once the drum doesn't spin the error code is flashed.

Hi from retired Englishman in SW France,

'LE' stands for Lock Error. There is likely to be a problem with either the door solenoid/lock or the 'door closed' sensor when there is vibration/movement from the drum turning, requiring a service engineer's attention I suggest ;-0(

If this has assisted and/or clarified the situation for you please consider a 4 thumbs up on our rating.
Thanks and good luck!

Washer has a LE (or EE) code or something like that. First character looks like an E missing the top bar, or an L with an extra bar in the middle. i was doing a load of towels when this happened. i assumed...

Washing machine has an LE error code
Is this a new installation? In new installations, this error can sometimes present because of a miscommunication between the control panel and the wash motor. In this instance, the washer simply needs to be reset.

Step 1: Unplug the washing machine.
Step 2: While the washer remains unplugged, press and hold the [Start/Pause] button on the front panel for 5 seconds.
Step 3: Plug the unit back in, and run a rinse and spin cycle to test if the LE code is cleared.

Over-sudsing is the main cause of LE error codes. Using non-HE (high efficiency) detergents or too much detergent will cause stress on the motor. In addition, detergent residue can also cause leaking and odor. Follow these steps to resolved an LE error code caused by over-sudsing.

Step 1: Unplug the washer and allow the unit to sit for 30 minutes to give the suds time to dissolve.
Step 2: Plug the washer back in and press [Power] to turn on the washer.
Step 3: Do not choose a washing cycle. Press the [Spin Speed] key until "No Spin" is selected.
Step 4: Press [Start/Pause] to begin a drain only cycle.
Step 5: After the drain only cycle has completed, remove the clothing items from the machine. Turn the power back on and select [Rinse and Spin] and then press [Start/Pause]. This will remove excess soap suds and light residue from the drum. Repeat this step until no visible suds are in the drum of the washer.

Hope this helps.

Error code LE

Hi there,
If you are getting a "water inlet" error "IE" I found out thru trial and error that my inlet valve(s) were messed up. On my particular machine you can put the machine in trouble-shooting mode by pressing the "Spin Speed" and the "Soil Levels" at the same time and press the "Power" button while doing that. Then advance thru all the functions by pressing the "Start button"
1 time; Tumbles clockwise,
2 times Low level spin,
3 times; High speed spin,
4 times Inlet valve for prewash,
5 times; Inlet valve for main wash,
6 times, Inlet valve for Hot water,
7 times: Inlet valve for softner,
8 times; inlet valve for bleach,
9 times; tumble counter-clockwise,
10 times; turns Heater on (if equipped)
11 times; circulation pump,
12 times; drain pump,
13 times; power off and unlocks the door

Good Luck!!!

LE error on LG wm1814CW

My wife and I had the same LE error on our LG washer intermittently in the past. We have already been down the road to replacing the Hall Sensor only to find the washer not spinning and displaying the LE error again. Here is what we have found to be the remedy: Being that the Hall Sensor is a "Position" Sensor, we made a conscientious effort after unloading the washer to place the drum in the same position as when it finished its spin cycle. It has now been about 3-4 months with NO "LE" ERROR on the washer!!! One other thing - if you currently have the error displaying, you will have to unplug the washer for at least 2 hours to erase the memory of the drum position. This way you start fresh with a good position. Just leave it unplugged overnight. Hope this helps out!

Le error code

Press "end of cycle". Plug off the wall. Code can be an indication of several issues. The most common cause is over-sudsing in the machine. Overloading the wash with too much laundry may also cause the LE error code. Lastly, a breakdown in the signal between the microprocessor and the motor may cause that error code. This can occur if there is a loose wire, see that all wires are tightened..........
Try the above..........
