Turn demo off in tv menu options

You're stuck in DEMO mode. When you see stereo's on display at a store it is set to a DEMO mode that cycles through colors, functions, etc so that potential customers can see the different aspects of the unit. To get it to stop changing colors you'll have to go into the menu and turn DEMO OFF.

to stop the kids doing this again, lock the monitor menu by holding down menu for 5 seconds.

The JVC KD-SC500 ships with the color selection set to "ALL DEMO" which alternates the colors approximately every 6 seconds.

To cancel the "ALL DEMO" and select a single color display, go into PSM mode by pressing and holding the SEL Button until the display changes. Use the left/right rocker until COLOR is displayed. Turn the VOLUME knob to select the color you want: Blue, Ocean, Purple, Pink, Rose, or Red. Press the SEL button again to exit PSM mode.

Go to "Picture Boost" option in the "OSD window". Then turn on the "Bright Frame" option and after that make the "Frame Size" to 100. That's it now you can get a perfect sharp image...it worked for me.

To cancel demo mode: While unit is OFF and ignition is ACC or ON, press "display" to cancel.

To cancel reverse demo: While unit is OFF and ignition is ACC or ON, press "band" to cancel.

You can also use the MULTI-CONTROL to turn demo mode OFF.

Demo is activated / de-activated by holding a combination of
two buttons on the tv front for at least four seconds. Try menu &
power or vol up & chan up...........T.
