SOURCE: internet security barrier message reading fatal error

As a general rule, you are only supposed to have one active Anti-virus/security suite and one active firewall. Otherwise the programs are prone to interference and your security is compromised.
I recommend you make some choices, limit it to that, then slowly learn the individual characteristics of the programs in use and see if there are places where non-interfering supplements may be installed to beef up the system, or close any gaps. Explore the mac os x security forums online and heed the advice of expert users.

Uninstall ask

I assume you are referring to the ask.com toolbar. What operating system do you have (Windows 7, Windows 8, Mac iOS, etc.)? In Windows 7, it should be located and can be uninstalled in the "Programs and Features" in the Control Panel. d9b2a153-4b64-4178-beac-4774abc5b867.jpg

Uninstall ask toolbar

I don't have any toolbars installed, but I would recommend going to the Help menu within the browser application and search for "remove toolbars" or "customize toolbars" to find instructions.

How to scan with mac

    1. Connect a compatible scanner to your computer. A list of compatible scanners is available in technical document 107203 "Mac OS X 10.2: Scanners Compatible With Image Capture "

    2. Install any necessary software drivers that came with the scanner.

Note: Not all scanners require the installation of additional software drivers.

    3. Turn on the scanner.

    4. Press the scan button on the scanner. See the documentation that came with the scanner for specific instructions. Image Capture opens automatically and a preview scan appears.
