Question about Akai Televison & Video
I need to know the physical dimensions (height and width in particular) of the 31.5 inch Akai TV
Try to download the user manual to this TV by the linked site, to see the specifications.

SOURCE: ilo 27 inch hdmi/dvi hd tv monitor
Hi, I'm afraid that not only a cable is needed but an analog (vga) to digital (dvi) converter/scaler as well. The iLo LCD Display V27DMBX-U12 can hook up to a PC using the DVI-I connection only. As you said, your computer has the standard 1D15 pin VGA connector. Another possibility is if your video card has a composite video output (normally a color yellow RCA female) or an S-Video output which will both connect direct to your iLo LCD Display V27DMBX-U12. For the RCA connection all you need is an ordinary RCA to RCA shielded wire cable and for the S-Video, an S to S Video cable will work. There is of course the question about the quality or the resolution. Good luck and hope that this be of some help to you. Pls post again how things turn up. Kind regards.

SOURCE: height, width,&length of 42 in tv
The TV itself measures 31.5 x 23.7 x 9.9 inches (WxHxD) with included stand. You want to make sure you have at least 4 inches of clearance for airflow on top of those dimensions.

SOURCE: AKAI LCT2662
Thanks for the advice, premtech. My LCT 2662 finally died from power supply problems after about two and a half years of use (it started giving us problems about six months ago). After reading the fixya.com recommendations to replace the capacitors on the power board, I decided to give it a try. I took the back off and was grateful to find the power board to be easily accessible. It was immediately apparent that several of the 2200uf capacitors had all bled out. There was crusty brown dielectric everywhere! The 1000uf appeared to be in good shape, but I ordered a new set of those anyway, along with the 2200uf/25v caps as well. I replaced all of the 2200uf caps first, since they were pretty much all fried, and tried the set out. The red power light came on, but when turning the unit on, I would just get a momentary flicker of the main screen, then nothing. After poking around the power board some more, I noticed that the four 3300uf caps also look to have melted out. So it was back to the Jameco website to order more parts. After replacing those four caps, the tv mercifully came back to life and has worked like new for about an hour now. I did not have to replace any of the 1000uf caps, but who knows how long the original ones will last. Oh well, I have to parts and know how to fix them if they do burn out. Thanks to all those who suggested the fixes. You sure know your stuff!

Thats a real tough call on your problem as the set acts like its working normal and then gives out. It could be any number of things, but mostlikely somthing is drawing too much power causing a protection fault hence the power off. These types of problems are very hard to diagnose as the stuff your looking at looks good, its not until it warms up (even being a few seconds or so) that they go bad. You can allways put a meter on the VA and VS to see if there is a flucuation in voltage or even a spike and that could tell you possibly which board is the culpret, but the best is to replace and not repair as switching supplys can be a pain.

SOURCE: need a unviersal code for 27 akai tv
I recently bought a used LCT2060 that had no remote. I figured my
comcast cable remote would work without a problem but it didn't. So 3
universal remotes later I found my solution...a radio shack
universal gamer remote. It controls up to 5 components plus your
xbox360, playstation and pc. The price on sale was a mere 12.97, not bad
if you ask me. Hope this helped. The code that worked for the Akai
was 11676. Take care...
