Try to load the latest driver, you can get that from HP under your computer. If that does not fix it then go buy a cheap USB Ethernet adaptor from Amazon or BestBuy, plug it in to a spare USB port and follow the directions for the adaptor with your Ethernet cable plugged into the new adaptor.
That is it, you have bypassed the bad Ethernet power and can forget about it (they can't be fixed), you should be good to go.
If you don't want to try the driver, then just get a new adaptor and that will bypass the internal adaptor.
You add the printer to the router not the PC. Go to the manufacturers website for installation instructions. or follow the instructions on the disc. Set up is usually done with a wired connection anyway. But to make your tower wireless it is easier to add a wireless USB adaptor.
First off make sure you have at least 190 mb of space in your HDD before trying to set up your kinect. Setup: Step 1: Make sure your xbox 360 is properly connected to the television with the AV cables and power cable to an outlet.
Step 2: Place sensor under or on top of your television on a stable flat surface.
Step 3: Depending on your xbox the sensor has two different connections. If you have the new slim xbox 360 then you do not need the extra add on connection you simply connect it to a special port for it on the back of your xbox 360 slim. If it is a older version xbox then you will need the extra power adaptor since it will not work without it.(Cable with power connection)
Step 4; (ONLY FOR OLDER VERSION XBOX 360): If you have a wireless connection adaptor unplug it from the usb port in the back of the xbox 360 and connect the kinect sensor's power adaptor into the port you took the wireless connection adaptor off of. There should be a special cable that will act as an extension for the wireless connection adaptor you unplugged this is so you can connect it directly to the usb ports in the front of the xbox 360. Then plug the end with the power outlet connector of the kinect sensor power adaptor into the wall socket.
Step 5: Turn on the xbox 360 and the kinect sensor should move up and down to adjust.
Step 6: Put kinect game in and it will guide you through kinect settings and your on your way to start playing! Have Fun!
what kinda hdd is this?? is a usb external or an internal one ?? anyway if it is a usb ..just try to change the port in which you plugged it .. it might just get into a 1.0 port and it needs a 2.0 .. after that if it is not seen ..just go to control panel and run the add new hardware wizard ..///check already added..and let the windows scan for it ...it will see and install it ...be sure it is powered if it needs a power supply .. if it is an internal one ..and you have a system on another one ...and it is a sata hdd..just install the raid drivers from the mother board drivers cd ... to be sure you are missing it ..right click on the my computer ..properties...hardware and device manager ...in here you will see the raid controller in yellow if this is the case...
Did you have a similar wireless adapter install previous to this one? If the software is similar then you need to uninstall the old software so that you can install the new software. The problem might be the old software version is running and you can't write over a file that is running. You can't delete or overwrite it until that process is closed.
Thank you for your promptitude. Today I solved my problem. Was a cable connection problem. Cable incompatibilit or all 3 cables used before are damaged. Tuday I buy an other new cable and SUCCESS!!!: my computer see de printer ("new hardware found" when attach usb cable) , create virtual usb port, install the drivers (I have the drivers downloaded from the Canon web site) and printer is working fine. Anyway, thank yow again for your support!
what the adviser meant was your pc cannot provide enough power to the usb port to power the unit, assuming you have tried other ports and it still wont work; you will need to either purchase a pci usb 2.0 card adapter or purchase a mains powered usb hub and connect to this instead.
I've seen is having too many devices plugged into USB ports cause this problem. If the software was installed properly, remove non-needed USB devices and re-boot the computer. If the printer works, look into purchasing a "POWERED" USB hub. They cost between $5-$25
