Most 360 games are made for High Definition Widescreen now.
Have you got an aspect ratio button on your remote? Try switching it to 16:9, and changing your Xbox settings to "Widescreen". You may get the two black strips top and bottom, but the game should look fine. I hope this works for you, as I know how annoying that can be!
i do not think someone has experienced something like this but you could always try saving the game to the hard drive before you play and playing it off the harddrive which would make sense to work but if this has not fixed it, it means you have had a damaged fable 2 in your hardrive at one point and the only fix would be is to try to get a new xbox 360 if you are really keen on playing this game
Try your Fable 2 disc on a friend's console that you know works and see if it plays. This would rule out the possibility of it being your Xbox for sure. Then it would have to be the game. If you didn't buy it too long ago, look inside the game package and find Fable 2's tech support number or go to their website and try to get a hold of them. Good Luck!
May have tweeked controller settign in the game by mistake. Try going to your options menu and resetting everything to default. If the problem continues it may be a bad save file.

Both Fable one and two have glithches that pretty much screw up the game for good. I had a problem when i got fable one and it kept saying it had a problem ever time i tried to start it up. You can get a used copy for like ten dollars though.
