have you checked for dry joints or blown capacitors , with a power surge depending what kind voltage or amperage the circuit received it might have even blown screen connect it will certainly fry a lot of components ,have you looked for holes in capacitors ,resistors or burnt tracks between components . that's about all I can think of to check also some power panels have built in fuses to stop surges if you could obtain a circuit diagram that should help you also you could google your query and see if you get any assistance it costs nothing and you could get your TV up and running again . Power supply board it have dead components parts could be anythings on the board.Tv is under a year.Tv still under warrenty call Philips and take ur warrenty repair.

Yes,there is a fuse in inside on the tv main pcb board near the power a/c cord.But if the tv have sparks,main pcb board could have more other components fries too.If tv less 10 years repair it by a shop,more than that should buy a another tv.

I had the same problem with my 50HP95 Toshiba Plasma TV. It would not turn on. I read online that if you unplug a connection on my TV and it turns on, it is a bad Seine board. I could not find this Seine board anywhere online. It was either out of stock or no longer available. The TV is just 5 year old. Why would they discontinue parts for it? Then I saw a video on You Tube where someone unplugged a connection in the back of his TV to fix problem. I decided to try it. I took the back off, unplugged a connection numbered PJ63A and the TV works again. So far so good. I downloaded the Service manual for this TV to find where PJ63A was.
I also called Toshiba Tech Dept. to find out if there was a chance I can cause further damage to my TV. They had no idea.

If the AC power source (outlet) is ok and the line cord and fuse are ok but the unit is completely dead, you may have a problem with the internal switching power supply.

Locate the switching power supply and see if there is a fuse on its circuit board.

Completely dead units are typically caused by a failure in the power supply section.
